  1. Southeastern ND needs "last summer" (much cooler than average) to come this spring: Long, slow, lazy melt and run-off.
  2. About the way the WCHA is run: I hear the CCHA is down to 11 teams. I wonder if they'd be interested in a school that: - is consistently second in average attendance in the nation - has a national television deal with Fox College Sports - has seven banners in the rafters. We'd probably have fewer dirty hit injuries to defensemen (Bina, LaPoint twice, Genoway).
  3. Lead the way Dan. Change your handle to NDSU Dan. And all references to your favorite school, you must now always use NDSU, not the B-word. Lead the way Dan.
  4. Based on the report I heard last week, either someone will be canonized by the Catholic Church, or we won't be seeing Chay this year. (For those of you slow on the uptake, it's going to take a miracle.)
  5. International (noun): Anything outside of "Imperial Cass" County. :silly:
  6. From the link, Scenario 7 played out, (forget Notre Dame, think Big East instead): Big East gets raided, Big East raids A10, A10 raids Horizon, Horizon raids Summit. Quoting the scenario: I don't believe IPFW. I agree with one of the commenters when they said: Conference moves will be about markets. And remember, these are fans not worried about a moniker and conference membership pondering these things.
  7. Did someone say "Summit affecting scenarios" a while back? http://news.collegesportsinfo.com/2009/12/...conference.html Be sure to look at the comments also. (I love it when folks do homework for me. )
  8. More fun and interesting speculations from the Bleacher Report. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/345353-...ady-be-in-place

  10. Sorry ... http://forum.siouxsports.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry435797
  11. OK, we're all hearing about the Lamoureux twins, and Zach Parise, and Jon Toews. But there's even more UND connection at the Olympics. That's right, ... UND "rocks" the Olympics on the ice another way. http://curling.teamusa.org/athletes/natalie-nicholson
  12. ... and most importantly: No loss.
  13. Lamoureux twins lead Team USA http://sports.espn.go.com/olympics/winter/...&id=4919980
  14. I've heard (my ears) Faison say play will resume as a continuing series or not at all. He's not interested in a single game. That's where NDSU's taking on of a contract with USD seems a very, shall we say, interesting move by NDSU.

  16. I thought the same: Utah Valley was a JuCo not that long ago. Chicago State was run out of the Summit in the same timeframe. Do the existing members of the Summit want to keep company with them? Remember: You are the company you keep.
  17. Under the laws of (soverign) Standing Rock, will a vote by then even be possible? Patience. Hope. Closure.
  18. The IOC is populated by the same sort of folks who populate a certain organization based in Indianapolis.
  19. If these conferences expand so as to no longer need non-conference games (or secede from the NCAA) the impacts to the schools and conferences that depend on "pay" or "body-bag" games will be devastating. The first that comes to mind is the MAC.
  20. The Swede field a pretty good womens team. And if the Swedes to it ticks off the Fins and they'll have a team together soon enough.
  21. Aren't you the guy that says the Summit owes UND nothing? Why would they guarantee anything to UND?
  22. We're those folks watching NDSU or watching the opening Friday of the NCAA March event?
  23. Graduate, English Coulee School of Dangle.
