You just stop on the spot on the circle that works best for you (or at least that's how the NCAA does it).

Honestly, between Slim and None. And Slim? He's on a train. Which train?

If the NCAA backed off now it would be them admitting they were wrong, and they are never wrong. They thought they were wrong once ... but they were mistaken.

After an ugly summer of flooding, Minot has a chance to win Coca-Cola's "Live Postively" park restoration contest. The residents of Minot are voting to restore Oak Park. It also had the only Splash Pad in town for kids to go and cool off. You can vote as many times as you want. Every vote helps. Hey, everything helps Minot at this point. To vote go to: http://m.livepositively.com/park_details.jsp?parkId=11775

What I find most disturbing about this is that most campus administrators today, the ones that write these "code of student conduct" documents, were the (WARNING: massive stereotyping and generalization to follow) campus insurgents back in the 1960s and 1970s. They were the ones that said don't trust anyone over 40 and were proud when their actions caused campus disruptions. Now that they have the power they are acting exactly the way they claimed they never would if they were in charge. Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.

According to Schlossman's blog, seems the former UND blueliner who recently signed with Detroit will be wearing jersey #64. A couple years ago we were all excited to be getting a Dell; the Red Wings are getting a Commodore 64.
-
How's that any different from me walking up to a UND coach and saying "There's this kid you really need to take a look at."

SCSU? The school that dropped Homecoming because they couldn't afford it? The school that almost dropped football in the last year because they couldn't afford it? That SCSU? They have money issues across the board in athletics. They're not in a position to make a deep fiscal commitment to hockey. But the moniker thing does make me smirk all the more.

My hunch says Notre Dame is looking out for Notre Dame. You'll know where they got the most of what they wanted by where they go.
-
You'd burn up just about all your space for non-conference games.

Providing the by-laws might show that UMTC and UW might have been able to change or get an exemption to the Big Ten "if six play we play Big Ten" rule ... but they didn't.
-
No idea, but I do see two incoming freshmen who were Penticton Vees and ended up 2nd and 3rd in scoring on that team last year.

Did Minnesota and Wisconsin put forth the proposal to remove the "if six play the sport we play as Big Ten" rule from the Big Ten rulebooks? If they couldn't affect the whole rule, did they put forth a proposal to exempt hockey from the rule? It's a Big Ten rule. They could change it, or they could ignore it like the Big Ten does with some NCAA rules (see: Ohio State football). But we never heard about UMTC or UW even trying. They just went merrily along. And try to blame UND.
-
USCHO.com Sure, but they are blaming the breakup of the WCHA on UND, forgetting that the Big Ten was the first shoe to drop onto the fate of the WCHA.
-
Did they sign National Letters of Intent to Northeastern for this season? If so, I believe they're not available to anyone this season (even if N'eastern "releases" them from the NLIs). PS - The names are Garrett Haar and John Gaudreau.
-
Either: a) State that they're a go b) State that if they get money right away they'll go really soon c) State that they can't do it. I'm really out there on a limb with that, aren't I?

Wednesday they said they haven't got a name yet. An obvious name to come up would be a guy who is a former DI head coach, former AD, and former commissioner of a developmental league: John "Gino" Gasparini.
-
C'mon star, you can't put scenarios out there where long rumored DI programs, stalled by conference gridlock, might actually come about and college hockey might grow from the creation of The National. You can't do that. You just can not do that. Even when MSU-Moorhead seems to be positioning for starting their long rumored program. You must comply with the Minnesota spin that UND killed college hockey. Resistance is futile. Discussion is irrelevant.

UND loses "never stepped on ice as a collegian" JT Miller. Wisconsin loses leading returning scorer and would-be 2011-12 captain Craig Smith. UND got a door ding. UW needs a new fender.

Oh, ... you mean on the TV broadcasts.
