  1. What would happen if a character from Disney's "Beauty and the Beast" had plastic surgery that went terribly wrong ... Before ... After ...
  2. ... or the offensive firepower and confidence in it to overcome letting a couple bad goals get by.
  3. Clearly the author has not spoken to me.
  4. What's the longest sentence in the English language? I do.
  5. Why are the playing two on Sunday and two today instead of alternating "east on Monday, west on Tuesday"? Or will they go to that after tonight?
  6. But a return to the pre- "Roundtable on Higher Education" days is bad for everyone. This fiasco gives the legislators that want to return there plenty of political ammunition.
  7. Daylight? Yes. But I fear this will put all the campuses in the NDUS under an old-school "bare bulb interogation" every time they attempt any construction. Thanks for the gift that'll keep on giving Joe.
  8. It keeps getting more interesting. http://www.grandforksherald.com/event/article/id/160533/
  9. It just keeps coming: http://www.inforum.com/event/article/id/277731/
  10. They'll break it, but they'll face the consequences.
  11. I always thought they needed a guy named "Pilot" to play along side Brad Bombardir. " ... Pilot to Bombardir ... bombs away! ... "
  12. Seems someone disabled the "governor on the truck". Oversight doesn't fix that until after the violations happen. And the violator must face the consequences.
  13. Why are you testing the governor of the truck at all? Know the rules; stay within them.
  14. Drive 63 in a 55 mph zone yesterday and not get caught. No problem. Drive 63 in a 55 mph zone today and get caught. Surely the problem is oversight. However, in the NDSU president's house matter, it's more like going 150 in a 55 mph zone. Or would that be 2,400,000 in a 900,000 zone. Again, oversight issues.
  15. Certainly, but why did it have to come to this? Upgraded oversight measures will be the effect. We all know the cause.
  16. Guy goes to the bar and orders an Ovechkin. Bartender says, "What's that?" "A white russian not on ice and with no Cup." Bah-dump-bump ... TING!
  17. FAIL. See: U of Oregon and Nike founder Mr. Knight. See: Oklahoma State U and T. Boone Pickens. See: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and their "anonymous" $300 million donor (who controlled the spend of every penny)
  18. The date in question was part of a negotiated settlement between the NCAA and the State of North Dakota. One may argue "arbitrarily", but it was not the NCAA alone.
  19. First NDSU Athletics throws a forty year working agreement with WDAY-AM/ForumComm under the bus by openly negotiating with a competitor (KFGO) for a new radio/media deal (after it was pretty clear the KFGO bid wasn't as good). Now NDSU continues the pattern of negotiating with a competitor (Sanford MeritCare) while still under contract (with Innovis).
  20. Yes, but the NCAA Executive Committee didn't have that authority initially. They got the power by vote at a convention after August 5, 2005 (the date of the "hostile and abusive" policy). They only got that power after a couple schools raised the question (and one filed a lawsuit). And now I'll wonder aloud who'll be the next victims of that unchecked power.
  21. Fellas ... politics? Break. Go to your corners.
  22. What the heck is going on in the east? We're a Habs win away from 4, 6, 7, and 8 advancing! Meanwhile, out west we're a 'yotes win away from that going "chalk" (1, 2, 3, 4).
