Shawn-O Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 Another one hit wonder, Ian Thomas singing "Painted Ladies". This was buried pretty deep in the ol' memory banks, just like the commenter on youtube says. About 0:20 in to it the light bulb went on. I must have heard this song plenty of times on Winnipeg's KY58 as a seven year old. Not even XM 70's on 7 has wheeled this one out, so thank you for the great find! Quote

82SiouxGuy Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 Actually, it gets a helluva lot worse. Hot Butter - Popcorn There was a lot of bad music in the 70's, much of it was known as disco. And then there was specialty stuff like "Short People" by Randy Newman. Good call on M & M. I hadn't heard that song in a long time. Quote

82SiouxGuy Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 How about a few more summer songs. Like Summer in the City, or All Summer Long, or Summer of 69 or an early version of a song that almost everyone covered, Summertime Blues. Quote
82SiouxGuy Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 And since we are about out of Q artists, how about the Sanford and Son Theme Song by Quincy Jones. Quote
