Shawn-O Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 We need to worry about avoiding relegation round! Relegation might be what it takes to get someone to shake up the bag at USA Hockey. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 31, 2006 Author Posted December 31, 2006 US has 4 forwards on the ice. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 31, 2006 Author Posted December 31, 2006 US Scores!!!!!!!!!! Jack Johnson!!! Quote
AZSIOUX Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 usa winsssssssssssssssss jack johnson 3-2 nice Quote
Diggler Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 WTG THUG JOHNSON!!! Perhaps being the third seed is a good thing as now the US avoids the Russians should they win their QF game against Finland. Just looking at scores it looks like Russia is the best team in the tournament, though I think they were in the weaker pool. Though with what Rich is saying, who knows what seed the US is. Quote
sprig Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 I believe it will be the US/Finland on Tuesday in the crossover. I think Mr. Rich is wrong, don't believe the US gets the 2 seed (Sweden 7, US 6?). Quote
Sioux_Hab-it Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Yes yes yes, all of the Sioux players are alive in the medal round, as the #2 seed the US will crossover which leaves the potential for the Canada/USA Gold Medal Game and more importantly I won't have to watch another game with Germany, the most boring junior hockey I have ever seen. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 31, 2006 Author Posted December 31, 2006 Good character win when we needed it most. Props to the boys. Hopefully they get their act together for the medal round. Okposo player of the game. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 WTG THUG JOHNSON!!! i heard he has a THUG LIFE tattoo across his stomach like TUPAC Quote

Germany's the reason they need to implement the no-change icing rule. It's ridiculous how they use that to their advantage. Quote
BigGreyAnt41 Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Shouldn't the OT goal scorer be the player of the game? That's usually how it goes. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 31, 2006 Author Posted December 31, 2006 Shouldn't the OT goal scorer be the player of the game? That's usually how it goes. I don't think there's a rhyme or reason to how they select the player of the game! Quote

Most likely would have changed both teams game plans and confidence levels. Quote
sprig Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Guess the US is the 2 seed, according to the announcers. Edit: having looked at the TSN site, they are wrong, Sweden finishes with 7 points, the US with 6. Quote
AZSIOUX Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 they announcers said we are the 2 seed still. how is that? we may play the czech Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 31, 2006 Author Posted December 31, 2006 Not sure, but I'm assuming it's because we have the same number of points as the Swede's and we beat them. Quote
Siouxmama Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Announcers say we are #2 seed. We play Czech republic on Tuesday Jan 2nd at 12:30 central time Quote
sprig Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Announcers say we are #2 seed. We play Czech republic on Tuesday Jan 2nd at 12:30 central time THey are wrong, Sweden gets a point in this loss and ends up with one more point than the US Quote
Sioux_Hab-it Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 they announcers said we are the 2 seed still. how is that? we may play the czech With the win USA is 2nd in their pool, hence a #2 seed. The number 2 seeds cross over to the other pool and play that pools number 3 seed. which should be the loser of the Finland/Czech game. Woohoo Canada up 1-0 in the Spengler Cup final Quote
