LeftyZL
Thats a good point. That is what top ten picks are expected to become, and apparently Mike Commodore and Matt Greene are stand outs in the NHL now along with Matt Smaby. When did this happen? I didn't see Greene play at all in the playoffs last year? and Smaby isn't even in the NHL. Muehler is a stud. Greene played in the playoffs last year, do a little research. Probably only 10 minutes at the most each game, but that's pretty good for a rookie I would say.
THETRIOUXPER
Good Post. You really bring alot to these disscussions. Yeah, unfortunately is doesn't have the dazzling brilliance of a post like "I didn't see Greene play at all in the playoff's last year" but hey, I'm trying. redwing77
Greene plays 15 minutes per game. Commodore's shifts must be pretty damn long because he is seeing 21 minutes per game. OH MY GOD Lives is right. They suck! Please, let's not debate with Lives to play regarding players on his disrespect list. Nothing matters to him except that he doesn't like them. And because he doesn't like Smaby, Lee, Finley, Commodore, Kaip, Radke, Greene, Kozek, and so on, they must surely suck. For those of you with USCHO connections: Lives-to-play's devotion to his disrespect list is identical to the Hobart Higgin's rule of recruiting: Michigan gets the best and everyone else gets the rest. Please. Let's move on. EDIT: And PLEASE someone come on and explain to me how Pierre-Marc Bouchard can be considered an NHL star. The guy is super fast and got lucky last night, but that guy wouldn't make the top two lines on most of the upper NHL squads. He's not a bust, but he's no star. Please let's not debate with Redwing regarding his lack of being able to notice that these 3 and Lee will never become stars in the NHL. Please. Let's move on. Sorry for the confusion.

The Whistler
If I recall correctly the Oilers sat Greene out for a couple games and didn't fare so well. Once they got on a roll in the playoffs he was in every game. I for one was very impressed with his play for a rookie like that. He came a long way from his first year with the Sioux. I don't recall saying they were all stars. But hey, whatever. I state they do not suck and they contribute the way their teams expect them to contribute. Debate what you will about Lee, but Ottawa will decide for themselves even though you'll probably go on to exaggerate every pro appearance, stat, or attitude the pros have towards any of the players I listed in my post, regardless of level of play or where they end up. Evidentally, with you they are either all star players or they suck. Man, you are the harshest critic in the arena of sports. But yes, let's move on. Debate what you want about Lee, even if he never plays a game in the NHL you will have this guys back and try your hardest to get him into the hall of fame. Evidentally, with you if you ever play for the sioux, you should be in the hockey hall of fame. Man, you are the most loyal critic in the arena of sports, even if the guy plays poorly he is still the next gretzky to you, and anyone who says differently is just being mean because these are just college kids. THETRIOUXPER
I can't believe I'm about to say this but here goes. bucky and slappy are like 1000 times cooler than lives-to-play, and way more credible as well. Man you got some kind of chip on your shoulder. It's easy to be a fan of the so called "superstar's", but ask any one of them and they will tell you without the rest of the guy's on the team doing what they do they wouldn't be "superstar's." There are alot of role players at all level's of all sport's that don't ever reach "superstar" status, but go out and play every shift, every game, and just do what they have to do. I think what he is trying to do is insight alittle reality into this board instead of this constant love-fest. I don't think live's or any of the other people that actually say what they have on their mind have said anything bad about role players. Your way worse then Lives, all you ever post is stuff that doesn't even pertain to what other people say. Someone will say something like I don't think he is going to be a good NHL player. THEN, you will come back and say so everyone that doesn't play in NHL sucks. Just look at your last post, Lives was talking about Lee not becoming a superstar like #9 draft picks are expected to become, and how someone said Greene Commodore and Smaby are all world and thats what Lee should shoot to become. Then you came back with this Whack post about how teams need role players? No one has said those players are bad. No one has said Lee is bad. They said they aren't stars and that Lee has along way to go before he can play in the NHL. Well I realize I just critizied "THETRIOUXPER" ERR. I'm probably next on the list of people to attack because they don't think Lee is going to become an NHL stand out.

You might be attacked because you have no idea what you are talking about however. From what I see you and lives-to-play-withhimself are two of the most misinformed poster's on this board lately. No need to rely on the expert's, people who get paid to evaluate up and coming talent, we have you and lives to tell us who is going to be a "superstar" and who is not. "THETRIOUXPER" when did you get the idea to make the website "siouxsports.com"? Is this website only for people who share the same opinion or are others allowed? Are you going to keep making fun of my alias or are you going to not act 13?

Some of the players you chose to single out as not being superstar's have accomplished a whole lot in life. Lee, #9 overall pick 05 NHL daft, 3 time World Jr. selection, Mr. Hockey, on scholarship at UND. Greene, World Juniors, UND (captain junior year), great NHL rookie season. Commie, NCAA National Championship, STANLEY CUP. I bet these guys really don't care what the hell you think of them. I'm sure your greatest accomplishment came the day you learned to wipe your own butt.
