sultan
After watching the Gopher basketball game tonight, I decided that it was one of the ugliest games I have ever watched. Both teams looked awful. Over half way through the first half the score was 6 to 5. Watching that game was like pulling teeth. How in the world did the Gopher basketball program ever get reduced to that level of play. It is really sad.

farce poobah
http://www.gophersports.com/ViewArticle.db...p;ATCLID=684858 The first half was very sluggish with neither team scoring until Coleman made a short jumper almost four minutes into the game. The Bison took a 5-2 lead with 13:14 to go but Minnesota went on a 12-0 run that spanned over six minutes to lead 14-5 with 6:57 remaining. McKenzie fueled the Gopher offense with two threes and a fastbreak layup consecutively. North Dakota State came right back and pulled within 16-14 on two free throws by Smith with just under four minutes to go in the half. The Bison kep the lead to two points before Coleman scored and was fouled with 1:27 left. He made the free throw and the Gophers took a 23-18 lead into the half. Both teams shot poorly with NDSU making just 6-29 from the field (20.7 percent) and Minnesota hit 10-31 (32.3 percent).
Shawn-O
What? I was led to believe that Miles' well-oiled basketball machine from Fargo would dispatch of the lowly Gophers with relative ease. Huh, weird.
sprig
I think FSN better cancel gopher basketball and put on something more exciting. like Texas hold'em
Sioux_Yeah_Yeah
Yeah it was definitely a horrible game!! I was supposed to go to that, but due to my dying from bronchitis I chose not to. Man, I think both teams have some practicing to do. It was pretty boring and pathetic. That's all.
FlApp
A very boring basketball game. I expect both teams to improve throughout the year but man.....it was pathetic. NDSU vs. Texas Tech on friday should be more exciting.....Bobby Knight could put on a show..
