I see your point. The defensive side a most valued asset. My main argument to previous posters is that on of the main reasons why Division2's usually dont beat division 1-aa is overall depth and team speed. Same goes for 1aa vs 1a schools. When you play an upper division, the commentators constantly are saying how much faster the opposing team is. The game is just played at a faster pace. As in awesome football player, i dont even know why I put that in there, it was unrelated and disregard. But yes, I am using speed as in the general term. As for Barry Sanders, he wasnt the fastest football player in the world, but he definatly had undeniable quickness. Jerome Bettis....he is just huge. Getting that amount of weight that fast is hard to stop. For his size, yes he was fast. But for the most part I am using the word speed in general terms.
