southpaw Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 GF Herald reporter Brad Schlossman is in Vancouver awaiting the NHL draft. He said he will be updating his blog HERE throughout the day. He will also then post his interview with Toews after he gets picked. Here's my prediction for what will happen: St Louis trades the #1 pick to Pitt for the #2 pick and some player. Pitt takes EJ, St Louis takes Toews to go with Oshie. Then New Jersey drafts Forney in the 1st round. You heard it here first. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Toews one of the features on the intro to the NHL draft. Did quite a bit of talking. Public speaking classes from Shattuck again shining through! Quote
Sioux Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 St. Louis takes Erik Johnson. just in case some dont know this, they have NHL radio coverage on this at nhl.com Quote

Siouxdonyms Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Toews comments that he wanted to be drafted by Chicago. We all know the truth, wanted to wear the Blackhawk logo! Quote

I won't be surprised a bit if he signs right away, as he's made the comment that if the team wants him, he'll go, but I can hope he stays for one more year! Quote

bertibm Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 These announcers said the top 5 was set but 2-5 nobody had any idea where they would go. The #1 was the only for sure. Quote
Sioux-cia Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 No, Beckstrom. Funny boy! Thanks for the link. Quote
fargosioux Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 Kessel? Let's hope Boston takes him at #5. If so, I think we'll see him with a 'B' on his chest next season, not an 'M'. Quote
farce poobah Posted June 24, 2006 Posted June 24, 2006 I just think its ironic that OLN/TSN showed a kessel highlight vs Holy Cross .... Quote
