The Harrington thing confuses me. Even a Gopher fan would never say that! Weird. Marty Sertich surprised me by saying "Andrew Carroll," but look out for that kid! southpaw Posted March 21, 2006 Share Posted March 21, 2006 i remember seeing one of those in 2000. when asked best atmosphere and hardest place to play, every single person said the old ralph. how i long for the days of standing outside at 8am to get into a game. stand all game and scream my lungs off. those were the days of college hockey. fortunately, i was able to get a full year in that arena before moving into the palace. redwing77 Posted March 21, 2006 Share Posted March 21, 2006 I guess I'm confused on how anyone can think the atmosphere at the Mariucci Arena can be the best in the WCHA. I mean, as far as fans being into the games, I don't think I have Mariucci better than 3rd on my list behind Kohl Center and maybe the Ralph and St. Cloud's arena. Heck, one could argue that MTU's arena has a better atmosphere... but having a band as kick ass as MTU's is kinda an unfair advantage in that department. Than drinking half the night, and having to go stand in line again at noon the next day, and repeating the same thing. Sunday was definitely spent as a recovery day!
