I enjoy coming here because it's nice to get a perspective on your opponent, plus it's nice to talk college hockey with some different folks. It seems the traffic is a lot more steady on SiouxSports, so when GPL is boring, I tend to come over here to chat a bit. You guys are college hockey freaks, and are somewhat civil, and although we are enemies, we have a lot in common... it makes sense to me. Oh, as for INCH's '06-'07 preliminary rankings... a little early, don't you think? Lots of squads still aren't sure what their rosters will look like by the beginning of next season, and although it's fun to speculate, I'm going to wait until the end of summer or beginning of fall to start worrying about rankings. That being said, they probably aren't too far off.

Kessle, Oshie, and Towes very well may have a shot at Hobey next year (assuming they all stay). Pavelski should have another great year too... too bad we won't be able to find out for an entire year! It's a good thing that final round (and most of the 3rd round!!) of The Masters is on today, or else this day would really suck. 6 months without college hockey = total bummer. Congratulations to Matt Carle!

Well, I'm not ashamed of my club either. It's a total bummer they ran out of gas at the end of the season and lost to Holy Cross, but they had a great season and were an absolute blast to watch. I think you guys are making this a much bigger deal than Gopher fans are!

Man, I'm totally going to watch. It could potentially be a very interesting game, and it'll be the last chance to see a college hockey game until October.

Here are the last six opponents the Gophs have defeated in the Holiday Classic championship game: 2005 - UMass-Lowell 2004 - Northern Michigan 2003 - New Hampshire 2002 - Boston College 2001 - Providence 2000 - Lake Superior State Some mediocre teams, but the program has done a pretty good job of inviting a quality team that produces an entertaining championship game. I really like our holiday tourney... we get the chance to see some different teams, which is always nice. I'm drawing a blank as to whether or not UND hosts a tournament at some point during the year, anyone care to enlighten me?

According to your own website, your career playoff stats are: 47-43, .897 save %, 3.04 GAA. Those aren't exactly stellar man. So what if you scored a goal once? Give it up, you freakin' sieve!

Sure..... I've never been a big Maine hockey fan, so it's tough for me to root for them. I would have been pulling for Wisco so we could see an all WCHA final, but now I'd rather see the Badgers go down...

Sure, but if Prpich lays out a guy like that, you'd be arguinig that the BC guy should have kept his head up while crossing center ice... it happens. There are always going to be questionable calls that subjective fans are going to argue, that's a part of sports. I could argue that Parise should have been called for diving in the 2nd period, but that's not going to change anything. And it certainly doesn't help to use slanderous remarks to make a point.

So, who's going to start the "BC Radio Highlights" thread? Seriously though, great season by the Sioux. Unfortunately, the only WCHA team left is the evil red menace, so it looks like I'm a Blackbear fan for the rest of the evening...

The Sioux had a great season, and you guys have a lot to look forward to next year. Should be interesting to see how many underclass many decide to jump ship, but with all your young talent, they will be a favorite to make a run at the title next year. Unfortunately, the puck bounced BC's way today... and in the playoffs, that's all it takes (see Holy Cross OT goal for further evidence) to send your season. BC is pretty solid though... they can really fly, and although Schneider let in 5, he's a good goalie and was a big reason BC won today. Next season should be a lot of fun. It's too bad the Gophs and UND only play twice, 'cause I'd love to see all the young talent on both sides of the ice as much as possible!

Surprising period. UND really seemed to play well, but BC got all the breaks. If your boys come out firing in the 2nd and get an early goal, they'll be right back in the game. Parise's save percentage is almost as bad as the Gopher's winning percentage against Holy Cross... that ain't good.
