Siouxdonyms Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 Gopher was all over Oshie, and they took them both off the ice. What a joke. Quote
Smoggy Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Gophers should have gotten an extra out of that scrum for starting it. Oshie didn't do squat to earn that penalty. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 Gophers holding Zajac's jersey enough to prevent him from getting to the puck first. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 Stafford has pretty much been absent from the ice tonight. He needs to step it up to the level he was at last weekend. We definitely need him to contribute. Quote
Sioux_Hab-it Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Taz, now you can make your comment about the Sioux as most of them don't seem to have anything left in the tank. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 Penalty on the Gophers. 6-4. Quote
Smoggy Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Good call at the end of the game by Shephard on that interference. Do you keep the goalie pulled? Glad I'm not the coach. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted December 10, 2005 Author Posted December 10, 2005 Good effort, but not enough in the tank. Gophers outskated the Sioux for the majority of the game, and that was pretty much the difference. Quote
Smoggy Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Great chance with the PP at the end and couldn't pull it off. Quote
DamStrait Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 As Hak said in the post-game, Sioux were too tight. Very loosey-goosey on the officiating and the vermin seemed to take better advantage of that. As I read and understand it, player can be in the crease as long as it's not relevant to the goal. I think the kesshole goal is definitely stretching that definition, but hey, can't expect any better from daddy' s boy (useless incompetent jackbag). Boys need to come back tomorrow (after Shepherd meets with an unfortunate, yet completely innocent, accident) and play with energy and confidence. Quote
terbele Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Sorry, but Shepp did not cost us the game. We could not transition, had no positional balance, and if Zajac wasnt taking the draw forget it. Although the team made it exciting, I believe a very poorly played game onour part. If we can step it up, even a little, we should own them. Quote

And the scary thing for the Gophers is announcers and color guys have been saying that this game was their best game of the year. And we only lost by a goal. They played very well, and we didn't. Though I thought we had plenty of chances that just didn't work out. Quote
Goon Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 The Kessel Goal shouldn't have been counted I am sorry. But that being said, UND was flat tonight. Quote
SiouxPride0303 Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 Well I don't know bout the rest of you all but I lost the audio halfway thru the third...grrrrrr Dirty Gophers. Poor play by the Sioux but a few good bounces the other way could have changed the game. Toews and that pipe...dangit. Get some rest Sioux and come back tomorrow for the win. Go Sioux!!! Quote
mksioux Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 I just can't get up for another season of "pipes". I'll just pretend they didn't happen. Quote
Jackson Posted December 10, 2005 Posted December 10, 2005 The Kessel Goal shouldn't have been counted I am sorry. But that being said, UND was flat tonight. You should go back and look at the tape. No issues on that goal. I love when these two teams play, seriously it ends up being what college hockey should be. Skilled teams racing up and down the ice trading goals. Quote
