jimdahl Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Kicking off today's game with some pregame facts: Sioux are riding an 18 game home winning streak, dating back to Nov 2, 2002 (35-36 loss to Mankato). Though unknown to UND fans (West Chester has never played an NCC member), West Chester is UND's first solid test, ranked 15th in the latest coaches' poll. West Chester is coming off an 11-win season, having made the NCAA tournament last year, having been eliminated by eventual champion, Valdosta State. This is West Chester's third trip EVER West of the Mississippi for a game. WCU is now the second winningest Division II program in the nation (.683) behind Texas A&M - Kingsville...the Golden Rams own an NCAA-recognized record of 488-222-17 (since 1927 when WCU became a four-year institution) West Chester audio broadcast West Chester media release Quote
jimdahl Posted September 3, 2005 Author Posted September 3, 2005 From the West Chester broadcast, someone to keep an eye on: Freshman Mike Washington set a school record with five touchdowns last week in his first collegiate game. Quote
Siouxman Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Sioux interception to stop WCU impressive drive. Quote
jimdahl Posted September 3, 2005 Author Posted September 3, 2005 Sioux interception to stop WCU impressive drive. Washington's biggest play so far... tackling a Sioux defender Quote
Siouxman Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 0-0, end of 1st. Sioux moving the ball and knocking on the door to the end zone, thanks to a pass interference penalty. Quote
siouxyeahyeah Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 92 yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Dressler. GO SIOUX!!!! 9:49 to go in 1st half. 14-7 Sioux. Quote
OETKB Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 So far, UND's defense doesn't look so great. They've been allowing yards on almost every play. Dressler runs 92 yds for a TD on the K.O.! Thank goodness for that. Quote
Siouxman Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 WCU scores 7-7. 92 yard kickoff return by Weston Dressler, Sioux lead 14-7 Quote
BigGame Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 It seems like UND might be having a little trouble with the quickness of the WC Offense. Quote
jimdahl Posted September 3, 2005 Author Posted September 3, 2005 Very opportunistic game by UND so far. West Chester's offense is doing well, pushing through N.D.'s defense; however, UND is making the big plays at the right times. It would be very frustrating to be a WCU fan right now. Quote

I remember being on the scout offense back when USD used to run wing T. The first day or two the scout offense would break a lot of big plays against UND's first team defense. Quote
jimdahl Posted September 3, 2005 Author Posted September 3, 2005 1st half stats First downs WCU 8 UND 10 rushing WCU 17 61yds, UND 17 69yds passing WCU 7-13 ??yds 1Int; UND 13-16 83yds WCU 3 fumbles, none lost Possession time: WCU 14:45, UND 15:15 3rd down conv: WCU 3/6, UND 3/6 Pretty tight game outside the 90 yard return by UND. Also worth noting, 0 penalties for UND (nice change from this time last year). Quote

siouxyeahyeah Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 I just lost my audio feed and can't get it back. Anyone else experiencing the same problem? Quote
sprig Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Sioux audio just went down for me, like someone just shut down a server? Anyone else still have it. Guess I"ll try WC's. Quote
siouxyeahyeah Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 I guess I'll try WC's broadcast as well, but I would much prefer Tony Stein and Dan Hammer...keep us updated if anyone gets our feed back. Edit: WC's server is too busy. No love....what now? Quote
