jk Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 At this point you might as well start looking forward to next year. We may be lucky to make the NCAAs after this late season colapse. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Disagree. This was going to be a tough weekend, without some key forwards and against a real good opponent. Still, they skated right with them, and must have clanked about 4 posts each game (not exactly sure). Posts don't go on the scoreboard, but I think it shows they are right there. I think there is still some goodness left to this season. Quote
Air Force One Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 PP over, some good chances but no results Quote
Air Force One Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 If the ref is just going to ignore the goal judge, what's the point of even having them? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They confired, judge must have happy fingers Quote
UMDDogz Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Dogs get swept at home by tech...season over Quote
Shawn-O Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Dogs get swept at home by tech...season over <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Would it be a stretch to say that Tech could hang with any team in the country right now? Quote
01grad Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Did the Sioux lose yet then? I haven't seen an update for awhile here, just other talk. Quote
Air Force One Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Would it be a stretch to say that Tech could hang with any team in the country right now? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I wouldn't want to face them in the first round Quote
UMDDogz Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Thank you TECH. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well then...THANK YOU DENVER!!! Quote
Air Force One Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Did the Sioux lose yet then? I haven't seen an update for awhile here, just other talk. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 2:10 to go Quote
Sioux,CO Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Disagree. This was going to be a tough weekend, without some key forwards and against a real good opponent. I think there is still some goodness left to this season. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The problem is that we have been hitting posts all year. I just don't see the team making a serious run against top competition in the tourney. They may need to win their first round of the WCHA playoffs just to get off the bubble. If the young defense can hold up next year I see it as a much better team. Just an opinion. Quote
Air Force One Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Jones and Ullanski, 2 minutes each. 1:39 to go Quote
OETKB Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 2 min's to go. Penalty on Jones. TH sounds bored. What a season. We'll be lucky to be a top 5 team. Quote
Air Force One Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Lammy out, DU score but negated - offsides, :42 to go Quote
Air Force One Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Timeout Sioux, Hak sounds motivated but I think it is just window dressing Quote
Air Force One Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 UND net empty, :29 to go, icing on DU Quote
OETKB Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Empty netter called off, but still swept at home. Yes, they were shorthanded. However, the same old stuff was evident. Missed chances. Stupid penalties. Lack of development and leadership. Lousy season, as judged by those who have watched the Sioux for more than a few years. Quote
Air Force One Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 icing on DU, :18 to go, net empty Quote
Air Force One Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Over, 4-2 DU, that empty netter with :42 to go was no goal, offsides DU Quote
Shawn-O Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Damn...swept at home....and they get two weeks to stew on it....ouch. Crazy thing is, they'll still in decent position in the PWR. Quote
Fedorov Posted February 6, 2005 Posted February 6, 2005 Schneider again on a pick interference. Inconsistent reffing. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is obvious that Shepard was informed of his blowing the game last night with the lack of an interference call. For him to call that as a penalty, it completely shows his bias and it requires some type of reprimand. I realize that hockey is one of the least watched sports in the U.S., but I think college hockey will never go anywhere with incompetent officiating. What fun is it to watch a sport where the refs decide games? Quote
