cfm567b27 Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 Attn: All Gopher Fans......5-5-2 is a bit better than 2-7-1 (with Vanek I might add). Long season people. Don't go getting all excited now. As you have told us Sioux fans in the past - the season isn't won in November.

sioux rube Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 It is only November, but when the hell is our defense going to show up in 3rd periods. Our strong point coming into the season, gave up 22 3rd period shots last nite.It wasn't to long ago when a team was lucky to get that many in an entire game.

cfm567b27 Posted November 14, 2004 Author Posted November 14, 2004 Bottom line - It is NOVEMBER. The scene on SS right now is incredibly similar to what POI was like last year around this time. RELAX - Long season ahead.
Handyman Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 Uhhh...its not the Gopher fans (especially on POI) talking smack so I dont know what you are talking about. Hell you guys are saying worse things about UND than any Gopher fan has yet this year. But hey whatever makes you feel better...feel free to make things up

Read what I posted again - SLOWLY. Maybe you will understand at some point.
sioux rube Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 According to the USCHO box score North Dakota out shot the Badgers 12-11 in the 3rd and 36 to 27 for the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> According to the Fargo Forum the shots were 22-10 in the 3rd,and37-34 for the game.the G.F. Herald also had Bruckler with 34 saves but didn't have Lammys.
WPoS Posted November 14, 2004 Posted November 14, 2004 I am sure not as much would be going on if a UND fan had not started tossing words around...soooo....just keep that in mind before you start to rip on POI-ers for posting some stuff on our board after "SAM" started the smack talk, ok? WPoS
TC_transplant Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 I scrolled down on POI and the 51st thread is about the Sioux. They're obsessed! "the season isn't won in November." How do you win a season?
Comfortably Numb Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Interesting that the last two posts on this topic are Goofer RUBES and combined have nearly 1,000 posts on this Forum.

State Of Hockey Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 The only posts on POI about last weekends Wisco series were updates on the score and who had scored the goals. Geez you guys are wound up a little tight up there. If you want to feel vindicated though, I was rooting for the badgers to kick the crap out of you guys.
The Sicatoka Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Talkin' up seasons and records in November and December. This isn't the SCSU board lads.

teamsioux Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Hopefully Sioux fans will be patient and lets see what happens in February and March....let's not drop to the level of UMD fans and chant "over-rated" at home games like they(Duluth fans) did in OCTOBER. Pathetic!
Turk 77 Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 How could you root for the vile Badgers? That is just disgusting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Man that is pretty bad. Any Gopher or Sioux fan will tell you...Better dead than red

State Of Hockey Posted November 15, 2004 Posted November 15, 2004 Man, you just exiled yourself on the SS, POI and GPL boards. Bad call, Lumpy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> My two favorite teams: 1. Gophers 2. Whoever the Sue are playing
sioux rube Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 My two favorite teams: 1. Gophers 2. Whoever the Sue are playing <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WOW,thats original.
Comfortably Numb Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> But really, what did you expect from some 14 year old in Goofer land.
Shawn-O Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 I wouldn't worry myself too much about what the POI crowd thinks. The quality of hockey discussion on that board has diminished in the last year or so to the point of becoming irrelevant. The Glen Mason stuff is about the only thing remotely interesting on there anymore. Personally, I'll stick to SiouxSports, INCH, and USCHO (the discussion forum notwithstanding) for my information.
