sprig
Stafford, along with 12 others, have been named to the WJC USA team.
Stack
Where are the Gopher players? Not good enough this year? It's also nice that Stafford may not miss a UND game because of this comittment. Pretty nice to not schedule any games during the Juniors.
sioux rube
If I remember right didn't we have 4 league games last year during the tourney?

schmidtdoggydog
Hagemo will more than likely be on the team. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If he recovers from his concussion that occurred last week against Mankato, which Lucia immediately blamed on UND's style of play! sagard
The rest of the choices should be pretty interesting. Is Brady Murray too old this year?
The Sicatoka
Is Brady Murray too old this year? Yup. He turned 20 in August.
jloos
Do they have to pick from the players at the camp this summer? Goligoski should be on the team. He is my new prediction for WCHA ROY.

AZSIOUX
pretty funny what greene says here about playing against spirko, only greene !!!!!! In the process, Greene introduced himself, impolitely, to future Sioux teammate Rastislav Spirko, who was skating for Team Slovakia.
farce poobah
Where are the Gopher players? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They are all too old, most of them are 24 or 25 when they come in as freshmen.
ethanm
They are all too old, most of them are 24 or 25 when they come in as freshmen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Found this in this week's WCHA column on USCHO.com Selected to Defend Three WCHA players and one former league player were among the 12 players named to the preliminary roster for the U.S. team at the World Junior Championship. Wisconsin defenseman Jeff Likens and forward Jake Dowell, and North Dakota forward Drew Stafford will return to defend the gold medals they won last season. Former Wisconsin defenseman Ryan Suter is scheduled to join them, pending approval by the Nashville Predators. There most likely will be more WCHA players included on the final roster, which is due out in early December. Eaves, who coached the team last year, said Minnesota's Irmen and Ryan Potulny are players to watch. "They were both candidates for the World Junior team last year," Eaves said. "They were right on the edge of coming. They'll be big players for that team this year."
