SiouxMeNow Posted September 26, 2004 Posted September 26, 2004 Nice start to the season by the NCC officials at Auggie!! (Including Mike D - shame on you) The "inadvertant whistle" late in the game that negated a Sioux interception return for a TD was inexcusable!! (in any book - a "mistake" AFTER a clear change of possesion should favor the recovering team!) It was a potentially GAME CHANGING call - thank god the clock was in our favor when Auggie scored the TD and went for the onside kick...it will be interesting to see if the league does anything about this... Sounds like these officials need a day on the beach. Quote
petey23 Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Those calls, the inadvertant whistle and the no-call in the endzone make a 27-0 game 13-7. Quote
Bisonfan1234 Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 We also had an NCC crew for our Carson game and they ALSO had an inadvertant whistle. Quote
SiouxFan48 Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 yeah there off to a good start this year............how do u accidentaly blow the whistle after an interception......maybe the ref was a sioux fan and he just got to excited when the Sioux made that play Quote
Wilbur Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 Boy, I saw the play on the coaches show, and it wasn't even close. I mean you see that play happen at least once or twice a game, and NEVER have a seen a whistle blow in that situation....wow.... Quote
ethanm Posted September 27, 2004 Posted September 27, 2004 I'd read that Augie's coach was all upset about the fumble recovery for a TD saying that the ball was out of bounds. After watching a replay from the back of the endzone, it looked like the refs got that one right. I can see how Augie's coach thought it was out since the first angle I saw sure looked that way.
