siouxhockey5 Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Ryan Suter will be leaving the University of Wisconsin, I saw this at USCHO.com, it was recently posted. Sounds like some major teams are losing some major pieces of their puzzle. SiouxHockey5 Quote
SIOUXPERGREEN Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Bad for UW good for the rest of the WCHA!! Quote
dagies Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Wow, at this late date...... That'll keep some coaches and fans from sleeping for another few days/weeks... Quote

sagard Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 I'm very pleased. Suter logged a lot of ice for them and I don't think I saw him get caught out of position more than two or three times. This further separates UND and UMD from the pack in my opinion. Quote

Let'sGoHawks! Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Suter and Vanek's early departures helps soften the sting of losing Blaiser, Zach and Bochenski in the same year. I forgot to mention Fournier leaving really helps too. Quote

redwing77 Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Tough loss for UW. It's going to be interesting how this affects their team defense. I doubt it will make things better for them, Suter doesn't have the history that Vanek has or even Bo or Parise. However, looking at Nashville, I wonder why. It wasn't like this was his only shot to crack the Nashville lineup. I mean, they stink! He could stay four years and he'd still have a slot waiting for him. In any case, $$$$ strikes again. T-minus 7 days until the season ends unofficially. PS. What's wrong with loving BMWs? I wish I could afford one. Quote

The kid could have stepped right into their lineup last year. And Nashville was very aggressive in trying to convince him to sign last year. Who knows, maybe his family owed Eaves a favor, so he showed up for one year. Quote
sprig Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 McMurchy's suspension for a bar fight was a fight with Chris Chelios, a 30 year old cousin of the former Badger by the same name. McMurchy got misdemeanor battery, while Chelios gets the felony, substantial battery. Wonder if the charges are an indication of who won? Quote
dagies Posted September 9, 2004 Posted September 9, 2004 Eaves might have suspended MacMurchy for no other reason than to give him time to heal. Quote
