redwing77 Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 Nice article, but pretty standard. Doesn't say if Stafford would actually opt in. Also, wasn't there a rumor that the NCAA is looking at changing the opt in rule to allow players to still maintain eligibility if they opt in when they are in a similar situation as Stafford is in? Is there any way Stafford could appeal the rule to an NCAA commitee? Quote
#1SiouxFBFan Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 Could someone explain what Stafford's position is as far as entering the draft and his eligibility? Quote
Superman0099 Posted April 1, 2004 Author Posted April 1, 2004 Nice article, but pretty standard. It's really nice to see Stafford keep getting rated this highly though, after a season with UND. Makes you realize the quality of the players than continually go through UND's system, and it looks as if college players are getting more recognition now adays. Quote

administrator Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 Simply pointing out the discussion of a previously posted article would be much friendlier. Mocking other posters for unintentionally posting an already-discussed topic doesn't encourage participation or provide a welcoming environment for newcomers. Quote

The Sicatoka Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 The "opt-in" rule and all the student-athletes that it affects this year is discussed in this INCH story. Quote
Goon Posted April 1, 2004 Posted April 1, 2004 The "opt-in" rule and all the student-athletes that it affects this year is discussed in this INCH story. I would be willing to bet that Stafford will wait one more year since the CBA situation is going to throw a monkey wrench into the next NHL season being cancelled if the owners and the players don't come together and get an agreement done. From what I have read the Players and the Owners are miles appart. Quote
