dickgraham Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 After reading what Jeff Dubay said about Victory Sports providing NCAA regional coverage to Dish Network and the Metro area cable companies free of charge, it seems that all of us that are living out here in the sticks need to be putting pressure on our cable companies ( Midcontinent and Cable One) to jump on board! iceberg Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 It was offered to the cable/satellite networks As of this morning, no one has yet taken them up on the offer. (not even Dish...although they are working on it) Quote
dickgraham Posted March 23, 2004 Author Posted March 23, 2004 All the more reason all of us should be putting the presure on our respective cable companys to get with the program. DG Quote
iceberg Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 I have to correct my post above.. It was offered for free to the companies ONLY for games including UM, UND or UMD.. No other games would be shown (at least the way it made it sound) Quote
WPoS Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 anybody else think the bars (12 in the Cities I think will be able to show the games) are going to be PACKED since they WON'T have it hashed out by Saturday? WPoS Quote

cheesemover Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Joe Sensers will have as many of the games as we can get. Most Important Sioux at 6:30 pm Friday night. I will start the day friday with Maine playing Harvard @ 4pm. Any questions please call John Innes @ Bloomington 952-835-1191 or email a message to bloomington@sensers.com Quote

iceberg Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Yeah!!! Dish Network will carry the games. Inexpensive Fighting Sioux watching. Since when? In the other post here Dish Network has yet to agree to it, contrary what PA or Dubay or whomever said otherwise. Quote
siouxnami Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 http://www.startribune.com/stories/503/4679632.html Article in the right-leaning highly conservative Star Tribune. Quote
iceberg Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Interesting......my contact at Dish said this morning that they were still looking it over and hadn't decided yet. This is good news. Now to find out which channel......probably one of the RSN Alternate ones (445-448) Quote
siouxchick111 Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 How about Cable One in Fargo and/or places to go watch the game?? Quote
petey23 Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Cable one is not an option. I am plannning on going to Detroit Lakes to Zorbaz or a sports bar to watch the games. Quote

Fedorov Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 Rip who deserves ripping. Midcontinent Cable is a partner in Fighting Sioux Sports Network. Get on their case at: mccomm@midco.net Please do not waste your time emailing Midcontinent. They don't respond to emails. You need to actually call them. They may lie to you though. I remember the poster on here being told a game was on when it wasn't. Quote
The Sicatoka Posted March 23, 2004 Posted March 23, 2004 You need to actually call them. If you're going to make that statement please supply the telephone number. Quote
Cratter Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 Ok so Dish Network is carrying the games, what bars/restaurants in GF have Dish Network? Quote
SFSIOUX#1 Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 Just called Midco but not sure any good that will do. Hate the thought of not seeing the games this weekend - if anyone on the board lives in Sioux Falls SD and has info re: tv coverage, please let me know and I will owe you beers during the games. vjr Posted March 24, 2004 Posted March 24, 2004 Just heard on WDAZ that the games will be televised locally. They didn't have all the details and would know more tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
