nodakvindy
Ohio State is Hot and Cold and certainly a winnable game. They also have the goaltending to stick with Maine. Maine-Harvard could be a 0-0 3 OT game. Eastern teams seem to really play it close to the vest in the postseason, not much scoring.

They have some decent young players led by Robbie Earl. They might surprise a few teams.

sagard
I'll be shocked if UW isn't one and done. They played over their heads this year.
Goon
I'll be shocked if UW isn't one and done. They played over their heads this year. I agree with you on this one. UofW doesn't have a prolific offense and relies on goaltending way too much.
farce poobah
Maine is a matchup that favors Wisconsin. Maine doesn't do a lot of the things that cause problems for the Badgers ... high pressure, heavy forecheck, forwards with a lot of speed. And if you don't make the Badgers make mistakes, they may find a way to win. BC would have been a much tougher draw for WI. Still, Maine has to be a big favorite. MinnesotaNorthStar
I agree with Goon on this one. The trap will not get you a national championship. Earl and Bourque are really the only offensive people on that team. And I'm sorry, but Bruckler does not match up against Doyle and Howard. It's like Montoya going up agaisnt Roy or Broduer (in their prime, which Broduer may not be at yet...scary thought to anti-Devil fans). Solid, but Maine's goaltending is much better than anyone Wisconsin has.

They managed only 3 goals in nearly 170 minutes of hockey at the Hockey East Finals. The week prior they eeked out 1 goal victories over a mediocre Merrimack club. They are reminiscent of the Michigan St. clubs of the recent past. If you can get on them early, you can win. Wisconsin certainly has the capability, and I think Harvard does as well. Harvard is gelling at the right time and won't be an easy out.
CoteauRinkRat
I'll be shocked if UW isn't one and done. They played over their heads this year. I agree. I don't think they are playing well at all right now and there is no room for error and this point in the season.
