UNDvince97-01 Posted November 20, 2015 Share Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) I too was extremely disappointed that Ratelle didnt make the cut.However, upon further review, the 3 finalists are absolutely deserving and studs for some pretty good defenses. Not sure who you would even take out in favor of Ratelle. Some impressive numbers there.I feel like if we were a year further down the road and Ratelle put up similar stats on this defense, it might be different.But again, that type of respect is earned. The Big Sky Conference (namely Montana and Montana State) thinks they invented football and they give absolutely no value to UND's proud football tradition and capability. We are THE University of North Dakota; losing to the bottom-feeders Idaho State and Weber - along with getting blown out versus Montana - was a huge disappointment in terms of solidifying UND's status in the Big Sky Conference. However, UND has a tremendous opportunity to earn some respect this weekend. I watched 11 of the 13 teams in the Big Sky this season live at least once. I saw UND twice in person and watched the duration of the Portland State game. At full strength, UND was in the top four teams in the league in my opinion. Also, I think John Santiago should win FCS Freshman of the Year. If North Dakota continues to recruit well on the line, UND will be a force to be reckoned with in the Big Sky very shortly. We will have coverage of the remaining teams in the Big Sky until each is out of the playoffs.
