Sioux-cia
UoM Mpls is on the list of America's Ugliest College Campuses; http://www.travelandleisure.com/articles/americas-ugliest-college-campuses/14 'Take, for example, the Coffman Memorial Building: the only feature that could make it look more industrial would be the addition of smokestacks. fightingsioux4life
Well, for my money, St. Cloud State and NDSU have much uglier campuses than UMTC. And MSU-Mankato is one of the prettiest I have seen.
yzerman19
The east bank mall area is not ugly at all...very classic.
doner24
As someone who graduated from the U of MN: The west bank is disgusting, the east bank is really nice except for a couple of the medical buildings i.e. Moos Tower, and the St. Paul campus is nice if you can get acclimated to the smell of the farm animals. An urban campus takes some time to get used to, but I agree with fightingsioux4life that it is much better than SCSU and NDSU. I'd even add UMD as a campus it beats and I also went to school there for a couple of years.
geaux_sioux
The art museum makes up for it all. A building where the inspiration was a pile of fish guts is somehow stunning.
Big A HG
Of the big-time places I've had a chance to visit, North Carolina's campus ranks head and shoulders above the rest.
