MinnesotaNorthStar Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 NorthStar is afraid of the Edge, even though that is the only bar in GF that would let Chelsey in. Actually I really don't mind the Edge. You can't really argue with girls dancing on the bar. But, I have a friend who's a bouncer at the El Roco...plus, I just think it's more fun there. But, to each his own. Rube...Not sure about Karaoke on Tuesdays, but they still have dollar burgers on Mondays...only they upped the pitcher price Fedorov...we wouldn't need to go to a bar Quote
beersong Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 Along the same lines.... Is there a karaoke bar in Grand Forks? It doesn't even need to be that great of place - we have enough people where anywhere we go will be fun. We just like showing off our great vocal skills. Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 I'm not sure if there is a "karaoke" bar in GF anymore. Others?? Quote
PCM Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 I'm not sure if there is a "karaoke" bar in GF anymore. They were probably all shut down after the last Penalty Box performance in Grand Forks. Quote
dagies Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 They were probably all shut down after the last Penalty Box performance in Grand Forks. No, that is when the obscenity laws were enacted. Quote
beersong Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 They were probably all shut down after the last Penalty Box performance in Grand Forks. That could be possible, but the amount of money the bar would make on us buying drinks for one night could keep them open for quite some time! Quote
PCM Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 That could be possible, but the amount of money the bar would make on us buying drinks for one night could keep them open for quite some time! Conventional wisdom says that'll happen regardless of any entertainment provided. Quote
Diggler Posted December 7, 2003 Posted December 7, 2003 The kiss cam sign needs to have mistletoe added to it. Or just hang the mistletoe over the penalty box. Quote
beersong Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 The kiss cam sign needs to have mistletoe added to it. Or just hang the mistletoe over the penalty box. ....Or over Parise and see what happens. Quote
Diggler Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 ....Or over Parise and see what happens. As long as DHG isn't near Parise, I'm sure Zach would be safe. Quote
beersong Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 As long as DHG isn't near Parise, I'm sure Zach would be safe. DHG only chases maroon jerseys. Just kidding DHG (I know you'll read this) Can't wait to be at the Hyslop Saturday afternoon. There will probably be about 8 people there with the football game at 3. If the Penalty Box owns the Hyslop and no one is there to see/hear it, did it ever really happen? Quote
Diggler Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 DHG only chases maroon jerseys. Just kidding DHG (I know you'll read this) Well he has been trying to tap the Caig for a year and a half now. Quote
beersong Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 Question for redwing77: Now that Justin Mapletoft has been called up by the New York Islanders, are there any plans to retire his jersey at UND, or maybe a special mural at The Ralph? Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 Question for redwing77: Now that Justin Mapletoft has been called up by the New York Islanders, are there any plans to retire his jersey at UND, or maybe a special mural at The Ralph? That was cold--but funny. The legend expands into northern Minnesota. I never thought this innocent little joke would have so much upside. Quote
sioux fan in phoenix Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 Well he has been trying to tap the Caig for a year and a half now. Thx for making this my last visual before I go to sleep. Quote

Buffalo Wild Wings on Columbia Road has karaoke on Thursday nights, I think starting at 9. The one time I was there on a Thursday night this semester, the karaoke guy had to wait for the Twins game to get over before he could start. Quote
SiouxTupa Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 Yeah BWW has karaoke Thursdays and one other day I believe. Just don't sing "I touch myself"...it doesn't paint a pretty picture...most of the time. Quote
beersong Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 Just don't sing "I touch myself"...it doesn't paint a pretty picture...most of the time. Especially if DHG is singing it! Quote
PCM Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 I want to know what that Sioux fan behind him is doing. She looks somewhat familiar. Quote

dagies Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 I want to know what that Sioux fan behind him is doing. She looks somewhat familiar. Yes she does and I feel SO badly for her. Yet she stays! Quote
morley Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 BWW has Karoke Thursday and Sunday nights or at least it was Sunday nights before football started this fall. And Yes Parrot's Cay still has karoke on Thursday nights as well. Quote
MinnesotaNorthStar Posted December 8, 2003 Posted December 8, 2003 That's one of the most disturbing pictures I've ever seen. That Sioux fan's expression is priceless. Wonder where I've seen her before Quote
