forecheck
Bochenski steals and takes a slapshot from the blueline, Berkoel with the save, Bochenski with the rebound and Parise misses a chance to put it away. Wow. Period 2 is over, and I wonder why I'm hearing boos? Damn DU fans. UND with 23 SOG in the 2nd?!
CoteauRinkRat
Great period, keep it up in the 3rd. Eliminate some of those chances on d
Smoggy
Did I hear booing from the DU fans?

Smoggy
Did that period seem long to anyone else? Can't complain about it though.
sprig
Shots 34-19 Sioux. Didn't miss the net that period. DU's defense is not good, probably not skilled enough to tackle like last year
sioux fan in phoenix
Have to take the wife to work; make sure you keep pumpin' large quantities of Schlitz down mk's gullet. Thx for the updates & see ya later...
farce poobah
Did I hear booing from the DU fans? Music to my ears ... Or maybe they were saying SOOOOOOOOO.
farce poobah
jk, that's what women are for. Of course, when my time comes, the roles will be reversed. Naturally. Women. Sure. Or Wookies.
CoteauRinkRat
My experience at Denver games usually is like this, after they get behind, the fans will get impatient, boo, and leave really early. They have their die hard fans, but have a lot of people who show up to see what "hockey" is all about. It is tough to get a real big following in a city where the Broncos, Avalanche, Rockies, and even Nuggets get shoved down everybody's throats. MinnesotaNorthStar
Shots 34-19 Sioux. Didn't miss the net that period. DU's defense is not good, probably not skilled enough to tackle like last year They need to practice with the football team more. Butt down...wrap up...drive through the body. It sounds like they're trying to skate with us...that tends to be a bad idea.
redwing77
DU is all speed and offensive minded. Get them playing D minded game and they break really fast.
MinnesotaNorthStar
DU is all speed and offensive minded. Get them playing D minded game and they break really fast. Denver is traditionally a defensive team...they're trying to play offense with us right now. It's obviously not working.
mksioux
They need to practice with the football team more. That might be a good idea, except that DU doesn't have a football team.
forecheck
Interview with Tim Skarperud: Skarperud is in his 3rd year playing pro hockey in the AHL. His last season at UND gave him confidence that he could go in and score. His team made it to game 7 in the conference finals. He's "getting his feet wet" playing 80 games in a season compared to 30-40 in college. It's hard to prepare mentally and physically because you play 3-4 games a week. He's trying to lift more with his legs this year to gain some strength and maintain endurance. Tim got married this summer. He now doesn't have the distractions of being a single guy, so it's easier to focus. He's now an old married guy in the locker room. Once you get out of the ECHL and play in the AHL, you start to realize that you are one step below playing in the NHL and then you start thinking "what if?" Talks about being on nickname terms with Chelios and Shanahan. They accepted him well and took them under their wings during summer training. Skarperud says Schneekloth is playing great, getting some PP time. TH asks if Skarperud is unhappy with his own stats right now. He's not getting as much ice time, and he's looking to improve and gain more ice time to help out the team. Potential lockout. They just had a meeting with their union rep, and it sounds like it could be a tough time to find a job next year with only 11 teams possibly playing. He has to have a very good year this year to have a chance to play next year if the lockout happens. Skarerud says the lockout is out of his hands, but he can control what he does on the ice so he needs to work hard to get a job next year. He keeps tabs on the Sioux, and was happy to hear they swept the Gophers.
PCM
What?! Where the F do you get that? jk said: "The Sioux need to play better defense now, as Brandt is making a bunch of huge saves." You said: "jk, that's what women are for." That led me to believe that you knew something about Jake that I didn't!
CoteauRinkRat
I hope their is no lockout next year, it will really kill the NHL.
Diggler
What else is he gonna be doing? Playing hockey?! I thought he might take over for Jose Eber and become the hairstylist to the stars.
Smoggy
I hope their is no lockout next year, it will really kill the NHL. Sounds like it'll kill the major minor league teams as well. A lot of Sioux players will be struggling to find somewhere to play.

redwing77
I thought he might take over for Jose Eber and become the hairstylist to the stars.
