siouxforeverbaby Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Really sparse crowd tonight. Lower level is spotty and most sections in the upper level are half full or less. It does look kinda empty.....I hope the energy level isn't really low! Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 that was a really fast first period! Quote
MissSioux85 Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 They just showed Ben Brien (designer of the Sioux logo) on the jumbotron and the crowd gave him a round of applause. Quote
Wilbur Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 You can just tell its a different Eidsness this year. He hasn't given up a goal yet, but he has been shaky the whole game. Trying to force the puck a number of times, and fighting it at times as well. Good to get him in the game though. They'll need him at the end of the year. Quote

Our entire team has looked a little off tonight. I have to wonder if a small break will not do us some good. Get everyone relaxed after finals week and get some of them back to healthy or closer to healthy. Quote
Wilbur Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Agreed, a number of guys haven't been moving their feet for a good portion of the game. Get out of this game healthy, and take a week off. Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 MARIO LAMOUREUX!!!!!!!! 1-0 SIOUX! Quote

Get everyone relaxed after finals week and get some of them back to healthy or closer to healthy. This team is banged up, shorthanded and is coming off a long bus trip to Mankato which was extended one day because of the weather. They also are playing in a game that doesn't count in the stats or the standings. I don't blame them for being a little off tonight. And as I type this, Mario Lamoreaux makes it 1-0! Quote

Wilbur Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 I haven't heard the shots for a while, but Eidsness has to have around 20 saves for the game. Lets hope he doesn't let one slip by here and the fellas get outta dodge. Quote
fightingsioux4life Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 That was a big goal. Just play solid D and close it out. Quote
Wilbur Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 And that just ended the game...... Miller has been the best player for the U-18's. He'd be a great guy to have play with Kristo next season. Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Team USA with the pp and the timeout right now...about 30 seconds left Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 GRRR! They score! 2-1, no more shutout! 24.4 seconds left! 1 Quote
Oxbow6 Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 JT Miller with USA goal...he's going to be a good one @ UND. Solid 2 way forward. Only USA guy to mix it up out there. Quote
siouxforeverbaby Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 The Sioux win! 2-1! Not the best game, but a win that I will take! Quote
Wilbur Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Hmmmm.....and if Grimaldi is a better player than Miller.......The cupboard shouldn't be too bare after this season.... Feel bad for Eidsness.....wish he could have gotten the shutout.....Understandably looked a bit rusty..... Quote
Let'sGoHawks! Posted December 19, 2010 Posted December 19, 2010 Miller seemed like he was getting under MacWilliam and Cichy's skin tonight. The kid is good, excited to see him on our side! Quote

He made a couple good saves, but was shaky throughout. His puck handling below the red line is brutal. Almost gave the game away with a few misplays of the puck. Kristo was UND's best player tonight. Simpson really struggled and Blood wasn't much better. Quote

I gave my best player award to Genoway.... But Kristo did play well too. Quote
