UMDDogz Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 I listened to Game 3 of the Sioux/Denver series last playoff year, and I thoght the Eminem song was a great choice to pump up the crowd. I don't know what song they used this year, but it didn't sound like it made a very big impression. Quote
redwing77 Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 The song is called One Shot I think.. or If you had one shot. Quote
UMDDogz Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 "Lose Yourself"--Eminem I downloaded it to play before my sailing races to pump me up. That is a great song! Quote
MinnesotaNorthStar Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 Actually it was the intro to Lose Yourself, then they went into Crawling in the Dark by Hoobastank (yes that is a real band). I still like the first one with Godsmack's Keep Away Quote
redwing77 Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 I always appreciate a band listing the best describing adjective in the band's name... like Garbage, HoobaSTANK, Poison, DEAF (Def) Leopard... It really tells you what to expect from the band. Quote
Ralph Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 The opening video from the second season at Ralph Engelstad Arena will be very hard to top. The song that starts out this year's video is Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes. Feel free to contact us with any suggestions on the opening video at www.theralph.com Quote
Mad Man Posted October 18, 2003 Posted October 18, 2003 Last nights pre-introduction video was by far the best. Seems like they finally turned the volume up loud enough to hear it and they took Digglers advice and added the fights. Well at least the Prpich fight. Really seemed to get a good reaction out of the crowd. Diggler you should charge the REA a consulting fee for improving their video. Quote
redwing77 Posted October 18, 2003 Posted October 18, 2003 I do think it was an improvement. Keep up improving it. Quote
redwing77 Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 Again, the intro was very good. Only the music wasn't that hot. It may not have worked so well if we weren't playing BC though. Overall though, I say props to the people who do the video for at least listening to the fans and doing something about it. Their efforts are not going unnoticed. Quote
forecheck Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 The opening video from the second season at Ralph Engelstad Arena will be very hard to top. Quote
U2Bad1 Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 Like everyone is saying, it should be video footage of the Schneider/Montreal fight, Hale/Mankato fight, Prpich/UMD fight, and what the hell, Commodore/Wisconsin fight, all to the soothing sounds of Drowning Pool, "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor." Now that would be a great video. I think you mean Schneider/Manitoba fight. Quote
Diggler Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 Damn right! When Schneider beat up the entire province of Manitoba, totally sweet! Quote
forecheck Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 Actually, the more I think about it, REM's "Everybody Hurts" would be a great song to play during the succession of fights. Not really a song that gets you pumped up, but funny. Quote
redwing77 Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 It would have also been funny if they played the Dirty Bird or something like that (is that actually a song or is that just a dumb end zone dance?) Quote
tboneund Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 I love the "Bodie Hit The Floor" idea...it's a good song to pump up a crowd and great background music for some skull-cracking fight scenes! Quote
Fighting Sioux Fan Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 or "the game" by Drowning Pool would be good... Quote
MinnesotaNorthStar Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 I like forecheck's idea of the fights and Drowning Pool. Let the bodies hit the floor, Let the bodies hit the floor, Let bodies hit the......FLOOOOOOOOOORRRR.!!!! Friday night's was actually pretty good. Quote
Smoggy Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 Actually it was the intro to Lose Yourself, then they went into Crawling in the Dark by Hoobastank (yes that is a real band). I still like the first one with Godsmack's Keep Away Thanks for all the songs. I've been trying to find the Godsmack one for a long time. Whenever I ask, no one knows. Quote

I also suggested "Headstrong" by Trapt when I emailed Tricia, the webmaster at theralph.com. "Back off, I'll take you on. Headstrong I'll take on anyone." Quote
CoteauRinkRat Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 I liked friday nights, but still think they could do a lot better. Quote
Fighting Sioux Fan Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 How about 'Send the Pain Below,' by Chevelle? Quote
