The Sicatoka
I wonder what the conversation between Brand and Justice O.W. Holmes, Jr., (quote below) sounds like.

Big A HG
Didn't realize this thread had started here before posting the news in the Nickname section... But, what I posted may be offensive and inappropriate to some....however, his handling of matters the NCAA shouldn't have business in and the double-standards he practiced were all too much for me, and many others. jloos
His degrees are in philosophy and it appears he has never held a job outside of academia. This is the problem with these leftist university types. They have no clue how the real world works. Professionally, Brand was a self serving egotistical prick, but I still do not wish death on him. He will be replaced by someone with the same philosophies. It is sad really, these people live in utopia they call campus. Things aren't as happy as they used to be down here at the unemployment office. Joblessness is no longer just for philosophy majors. Useful people are starting to feel the pinch. I don't understand how some people with their wacked philosophies get such high postitions in our country. Hopefully the Sioux nickname will go in favor of what the majority of what people want...both the Sioux people & the general public. Saving the Sioux nickname would be a great way to get things turning in the right direction. It is quite ironic that Mr. Brand's death and the approval of Spirit Lake occured on the same day. UNDvince97-01
I will be interested to see if the policies and philosophies of Brand will be continued when a new President is named. I hope not, but I tend to think they will. Why have someone who has absolutely zero experience in athletics run an organization that was founded on athletics? I did not know that was the case with Brand until last night.
