Hull came in the next year (1984-85).

The 1984 Duluth team was lead by Tom Kurvers, Bill Watson and Norm MacIver. Both Kurvers and Watson left college with Hobey Baker awards (1984 and 1985).

As long as you guys share a pie when you don't.

Hey, I said IF. IMO we stand a good a chance as almost any other year. Just like any other top ranked team.

Actually I think it may taste more like spotted owl tho... :0

UMDDogz...don't worry, most people here are giving Duluth respect this year, probably not as much as you all would like up there, but it's still there. I was at the CC game at the Final Five and I agree, UMD played they're asses off and impressed the hell out of me, especially for playing such an intense game the night before.

WPoS...Are you sure? I heard chicken :D

Impressive to win Hobey Bakers in consecutive years like that. What a team.

Thanks guys..

You Sioux fans really know your puck. You guys are the funnest to party with in St. Paul as well. I've sung "In heaven there is no beer" with you guys hundreds of times. I even cheer for you when you're playing certain opponents (the Huskies come to mind). I've been to the final 4/5 every year since '88, and I think it's the best hockey entertainment in the world!! I find the yelling of "Home of the Siooooooooooooooooooux" after the national anthem a bit unpatriotic, but I can live with it (and now I've come to expect it). Later guys. Look forward to talking puck with you all throughout the season and postseason.

Go Dogz!

A set of brothers (cousins?) playing for Harvard won it the year before and the year after. (1983 and 1986)

The Fusco's.  Brudders.

The two played together in the FF in GF in 1983. The older, Mark, winner of the Hobey that year, just didn't/couldn't compare to the likes of dmen Chelios and Driver (Wisco) and Patrick (ND). Nevertheless, the Hobey went to him. Don't know if the others were finalists or not.

Hey 01Grad you ready for a little Joe Sensors action again this year. Funny how you sent a note out about the Final Five considering the last time I heard from you was at the Final Five three sheets to the wind. Thats alright though you appeared to be having a good time. Let me know if Sensors isn't playing the games this year. Later!
