Siouxdonyms Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Well there were at least five incredible chances in that period that should have resulted in goals. That team only allowed 1 shot on goal in that period, and it was the first shot of the period. That was the game we were down 3-0 going into the 3rd, and won it 5-3. I refer to that game as the great comeback. Always start it at the beginning of the 3rd! Quote
keikla Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I'm just guessing, but I doubt that any other team has held UM to 2 shots in a period until now. that's probably true, but it means nothing with a big goose egg on the scoreboard Quote
OETKB Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Well there were at least five incredible chances in that period that should have resulted in goals. Well, the scoop on Kangaroo is that he has hops this season. But, this much pressure for 3 periods? Nobody is a rock that tough! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Well, the scoop on Kangaroo is that he has hops this season. But, this much pressure for 3 periods? Nobody is a rock that tough! I doubt we can put that much pressure on them for 3 periods. Quote
keikla Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I'm very serious! What's funny about it? I thought it was great! None of that uncomfortable feeling in a tux. I felt at home (well...other than we're in Georgia ). Well, congratulations! Quote
BigGreyAnt41 Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I doubt we can put that much pressure on them for 3 periods. Exactly. We know the Gophers will be picking it up in period 2. And it's almost a guarantee that the Sioux will drop back. I just hope the Sioux don't drop back behind where the Gophers pick it up to. Quote
wsdSIOUXfalls Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I want one of those "GO SIOUX" roll-out banners Pat just showed!!! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Well, congratulations! Thanks. During the part where the preacher says, "Does anyone see reason why these two should wed" or whatever he says, my mother-in-law said, "I object to that shirt he's wearing!" I laughed and said, "Go Sioux!" Quote
Bob in Wisconsin Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 I doubt we can put that much pressure on them for 3 periods. Agreed. I could see both teams easing up a bit period 2, then a wild period 3. Quote
kfah1 Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Kids are finally in bed... beer next to me... lots of SOGs, hopefully that carrys over into the second... big congrats to Siouxdonyms... Let's go Sioux! Quote
OETKB Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Agreed. I could see both teams easing up a bit period 2, then a wild period 3. If UND can kill the penalty to start P2, then they should be able to sustain some momentum. We'll see. This series is more important for UND than for minny, so lets hope the boys can keep up the pressure. Quote
wsdSIOUXfalls Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Sioux score on MN PP !!!!!! TRUPP !!! Quote

Sioux_Hab-it Posted January 10, 2009 Posted January 10, 2009 Trupp always seems to save his best performances for the Gophers. Quote
