Siouxdonyms
Another Hextall gets under the skin of the Gophers. I want more. That's probably the first thing they learn in hockey.
Siouxdonyms
Flynn and Hextall each get 2 minutes.
keikla
There was already going to be a penalty against the gophers, so the whistle was blown when MN touched up. I love Hextall's intensity, but we just lost a 2-min PP
Siouxdonyms
Sioux should have come out of that with a PP.
Siouxdonyms
Toews with a nice chance, but couldn't get it cleanly from his backhand to his forehand without running out of room.
Sioux_Hab-it
Malone hooked down no call Now we get a call
Siouxdonyms
Watkins with another point blank slapshot. Sioux getting plenty of chances. Delayed penalty on the Gophers.
jk
Watkins flying tonight.
BigGreyAnt41
<sarcasm> When Hextall was in the box, and Flynn was in the box, how did we get a power play? </sarcasm> Now we get a real powerplay. We better capitalize.

Siouxdonyms
Hextall with a nice chance, but the pass was too slow. PP has had its chances.

BigGreyAnt41
That better be no more than 2 minutes.
wsdSIOUXfalls
Did Sweeney just say we have 18 shots? 18 for ND, 2 for MN
jk
Sioux playing terrific, but 0-0 is not a good sign.
Siouxdonyms
Great period for the Sioux, but they end it with a penalty. Would be even better if we would have scored. Malone starts the 2nd in the box with a boarding/hit from behind call. Only 2 minutes. 18 shots for the Sioux, 2 shots for the Goofers. Sioux_Hab-it
Nothing to show for the 18 shots is disappointing.
keikla
Malone with a bad check. I don't think I've ever seen such a one-sided period of play come out 0-0 18-2 shots?! Don't give up boys, just keep putting it on the net!
Siouxdonyms
This is a great time to say that my wife is awesome!!! We got married last Saturday, and she was okay with me wearing my Sioux jersey rather than some goofy tuxedo!

Siouxdonyms
Nothing to show for the 18 shots is disappointing. I agree. Last time I saw more shots against a Gopher team was in '99 (I believe), when they had 19 shots, but had 5 goals to show for it.

I thought it was great! None of that uncomfortable feeling in a tux. I felt at home (well...other than we're in Georgia ).
OETKB
I'm just guessing, but I doubt that any other team has held UM to 2 shots in a period until now.

Well there were at least five incredible chances in that period that should have resulted in goals.
