bleedgreen04
Hopefully the team can play better defense against Wyoming than Montana....
spineguy
Hopefully there will not be a disparity between the teams of 20 FT attempts again. It will be uphill again in that scenario.
bincitysioux
Wyoming will make a return trip to the Betty next season. Wayne Nelson Blog The Wyoming coach didn't hesitate in scheduling UND, even though the Sioux are considered a non-counter in the first year of their transition to Division I athletics. Legerski said it's hard scheduling games in Laramie, because of the college's location and recent success of the program. Legerski, however, said Wyoming will play at UND next season. Hopefully, UND and Wyoming will be common opponents as the Sioux grow into Division I.

siouxdude
At the D1 level, we are going to have to accept that the other teams are going to score, even with PERFECT defense. These are D1 players, not chopped liver. We need to be able to score with some of these teams and then get strategic STOPS at key moments. Our balance on offense is going to be a big factor. Teams are going to make runs on us. Hopefully our runs are bigger. Good luck ladies. Go Sioux!
UND92,96
Herald article. The Cowgirls finished 24-7 last season and advanced to the NCAA tournament, losing to Pittsburgh in the first round. However, Wyoming lost four starters and one of its top returning players

(Hard to do I suppose when 9 fouls vs 28) and we need to hit shots from the outside. I think the rally from 21 points down shows they did have a stop and it shows heart...Good Luck in Wyoming Ladies! petey23
36 UND 40 WYO Late first half Sioux were up 34-23 with 8 minutes to go in the half, then Wyoming went on a 28-4 run to go in at halftime up 51-38. One player for Wyoming has 24 with 6 3 pointers....might want to get hand in her face?
siouxdude
We have to be careful with who is on the floor together. We can't have 1 or 2 girls out there that look to score, and 3 players who don't.

Shawn-O
The SIOUX got oout to a good start. I wonder how much the "rare air" affected them in the later part of the game. Roebuck made a post-game comment that they ran out of gas.
bleedgreen04
Of course they ran out of gas....they are not used to this type of scheduling. They are not used to being on the road this long and playing teams that can actually compete with them. It's no ones fault, but going from even last years schedule where they left on a Wednesday, played Thursday and Saturday and then didn't play again until the next weekend there is more recovery time, I don't think the girls knew what they were getting into with this schedule
siouxdude
I agree, but this schedule with the short recovery time will give them an idea for next year when they can play for a conference championship. Everything is brand-new this year. Sounded like the girls enjoyed the atmosphere according to Guinn on the radio.
