UNDintheNHL Posted March 16, 2008 Posted March 16, 2008 the hobey is porters to lose. itsd so hard for a goalie to win the hobey. if phil would have had another shutout tonight then things would have gotten a little more closer but. i still think the sioux win 3 in a row coming up and phil ends up in the hobey hattrick while the team is in denver! yeah thats why i was pointing out how un-special Porter's weekend was. 1 g and 1 assist in 2 games alone was kinda....lousy.....but only 2 points in 2 games that gave you an opportunity to have as many as 12 points? fail. JPL really helped himself with the 1 shutout at least. Maybe 1 more tonight.... and NO ONE SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT IN THE GAME THREAD!! Quote

AZSIOUX Posted March 19, 2008 Posted March 19, 2008 PHIL STILL #2 OUT OF 10 NOW INCH HOBEY TRACKER 2. Jean-Philippe Lamoureux North Dakota Senior | Goalie Stats: 24-9-4, .934 sv. pct., 1.63 GAA The Buzz: Fighting Sioux hockey is typically synonymous with explosive offense, but Lamoureux has been the team's best player all season. In 20 starts since Jan. 1, the Grand Forks native has given up more than two goals on just four occasions. Quote

I put Bachman in the top 10 before I put either of the other 2. Quote

HeidiSioux62 Posted March 20, 2008 Posted March 20, 2008 A couple weeks ago I didn't think he had much of a chance...If he plays well this weekend, it may be his. Even if he plays stellar, do you really think they would give it to a goaltender over Porter - would love it if they did, but with the history of how few goaltenders have won and the fact that UND had the winner last year, I think it's an uphill climb. That said - GO GRAB 2 SHUTOUTS AND MAKE THEM TAKE IT FROM YOU PHIL!!! Quote
