Got back from the Scott last night. Obviously all the penalties we took late in the third were tough - but I thought the weak shot Toews took instead of passing to Oshie for an open net shot to tie the game at 4 with about 2 1/2 minutes left was also tough. With that tieing goal - the net would not be emptied and we would be probably be O.T. bound - where anything could happen of course.

I just finished packing - well almost anyway - and noticed that everything I'm bringing is green with the exception of my jeans, socks, underwear and a home jersey for Saturday night. Wait - I think I have some green underwear I need to pack now too.

yep - actually it is a Toyota pick-up (6 cylinder) chassis with a Winnebago Itasca coach. Gets about the same mpg as my 8 cylinder Ford F150

my friends thought I was crazy for this route too - but if you look at the big picture = Madison is quite a bit south of here and St. Louis is almost straight south of Madison - a little west, but not too bad. I originally was going to cut through the heart of Iowa and Missouri - but stopping and or slowing down for all those towns south of Iowa City would slow down the trip - especially in my 1991 21' Winnebago.
