  1. Lest we forget about the Friday night game that the Gophs always play in no matter what the seed or the way they complained about having to play the Sioux in Grand Forks in the regionals a couple of years ago - oops - that did not materialize though - never mind.

  3. As far as #1 is concerned - the Strib has cut approx. 80 staff over the past several weeks as nobody reads that socialist fish wrap anylonger - even with the all out condemnation of everybody with an "R" behind their name - especially in metropolitan Minnesota
  4. Going to the John both games St. Cloud and Duluth both Saturday games and probably make it to Mankato as well got tickets for the Ralph for the St. Cloud Saturday game too
  5. strange - but somehow I knew you would agree cheap and way to easy of a shot - sorry
  6. Final 5 at "home" every year more that their share of Regionals hosted and the big one - all games (except AA away) being televised which is a huge recruiting and exposure advantage there - should not have to ask again I trust.
  7. wow - you best quit trying to justify your position soon - it's getting worse.
  8. Got two for both games - SRO I was camping north of Stillwater - no cell service available - so I drove into town, was on hold for 32 minutes but finally got them. I was on my way back to camp while on hold knowing that I would lose the signal any minute. Thought oh well - I'll just watch the games on TV but then decided that I could not miss these games in person (I've been there for the last 4-5 years) so I pulled over in a rest area and waited until I got through. She said the North Dakota tickets were going fast and there was only one seated ticket available for Friday's game - this was at about 9:40AM on Saturday. SRO are just fine for me though you have to get there when the doors open to get a good "seat" at the John. You can't leave your spot anytime all night either as some goof will take it - the standing spots are not numbered anylonger. I have to believe that they over sell these games too as it gets to be 3-4 deep on the rail with goofs. Until half-way through the 3rd period that is - that is when they all start to leave.
  9. good luck - right? 3 of my "friends" and I (along with wives) are looking to take a trip to GF for this series as they have never been there. Any combination of #'s, seats - nights would be readily considered. If only two are available - oh well - they are not that good of friends this time of year anyway, but it would be nice if they could see the Sioux sweep their team at the Ralph. e-mail me at IsaksonEB@comcast.net
  10. Thanks for the interest but it has been spoken for - sorry about any inconvenience this may has caused.
  11. I have to agree with a couple of exceptions Travis Roch - drove to catch up with the Wild the night we lost to BC in '01 ZP - signed with the Devils before (almost) before the plane left after the West Regional loss to Denver I think it is more of an Oshie thing as he felt the same way his junior and senior years in high school and it is infectious to those that are around him
  12. Thats if they even show up for anything other than the championship (never mind the Friday night game that they always play in) game of course.
  13. What part about neutral site are you refering too as it was never mentioned by myself? The X is obviously the best venue for a number of reasons that we are all aware of - but to insist (perhaps not you of course) that it is not an advantage for the home town team is just plain - well - ignorant. That arguement lacks credibility - as does the individual that makes such a claim. I'm done - until March probably - and moving on.
  14. I don't know about #1 - but at least your getting the others OK finally. you forgot to mention the most obvious one though - the fact that all the games are televised (except for away at AA of course). I suppose this really doesn't affect the Sioux as much as Mankato, Duluth and St. Cloud - but it sure is distinct advantage as far as recruiting is concerned. Now this may not seem like an advantage - more of a right - to you and that is expected.
  15. "their" prime scoring punch was lost when Hirsch was booted The OT line will be fine with the additions. Minn Tech will be 3rd in the league at best - perhaps win the consolation at the final 5 with the home town crowd (as always) but then again, that crowd doesn't show for those games - no home ice for the regionals again this year (amazing) - no trip to Denver
  16. Gophs are the best - how can anybody else even compete with such an advantaged program. The organization on a whole seems somewhat flawed however, they should still go damn near undefeated. Although most folks on GPL don't see it that way - just the goofs that write on this board. BTW - how can two teams be odds on favorites for the same thing? Just wondering. Honestly - the Sioux are heavy favorites (odds on or not) and I see the gophs finishing no better than 3rd - even with all the advantages that the New York Yankees of college hockey receive.
  17. Isn't this the one used a couple of years ago? I think I have it - are there a couple of Macys channels?
  18. Minn Tech - of course - along with Duluth and St. Cloud for certain. Perhaps Mankato as well this year.
  19. I have a SATWORK receiver that I bought from the SiouxShop a couple of years ago and not using anymore. You can have it if you will pay the shipping costs. Just need the dish then is all.
  20. maybe Chorns - yep, either him or Radke
  21. With Chris gone - is it wide open? My money is on Kyle.
  22. that brings up a point - with the Vikings threatening to black out non sold-out games again this year, I wonder why UND doesn't do similar. I hope they don't - but ticket sales would increase I'm sure. Maybe it gets back to the 2.5 million vs. 50,000 thing. It is so great that fully 1/5 of the area comes to the games every weekend - a super testament to the people and how we all support our teams and players
