Smith was underused in this one. Weber had most of their success in the paint without our rim protector in the game. On the plus side, it was a nice jumpshooting performance by the team tonight.
-
And that is how you win a game with rebounding. Nice touch by Brewster to turn on a little press of our own just when GCU was getting tired. Anyone know why Szabla was MIA for so much of the 2nd half, including crunch time?
-
Not a bad look if you ask me. Squared up open shot from 20 feet. When you said, "never got a shot off," I questioned my memory. Not letting the coaches off the hook, but if it goes in we probably wouldn't be complaining about them right now.

Wouldn't Hooker's runner at the buzzer have counted?

The hardest place to imagine a new logo is definitely on the hockey jersey. Seems to me that would be the indicator that a new brand has actually taken root. Not holding my breath for that one.

OK Season? "Masterpiece" is a better description.

She was interviewed at the Class B tournament last night and said herself that she was "over-recruited" thanks to a PR campaign run by her brother. And also that she's headed to UW Milwaukee.
-
I see Roscoe's half-court+ shot made Sportscenter's top ten plays tonight.
-
Thank God for Loyd, who hauled in a monster offensive rebound on one of those misses. If not for that, we probably would be talking about how we lost the game from the line. Going to miss watching our rebounding machine once she is gone next year.
-
Loyd was having her way tonight, looking like the best player in the BSC. That first half was the cleanest best-played 20 minutes of Brewster's career as a head coach here. Our fourth seed is huge, allowing us to avoid having to travel to Reno in a rush for a Monday game. Gotta think we are one of, if not the favorite in the tournament, given the fact that we are peaking at the perfect time.

I'll play along. What if you were removed from a happy family against your will, and the reasoning was that those family members were so offensive that they had to be killed?
-
But it's not about legal defense, but defense against a current buzz concerning relinquishing trademarks to the tribes.
-
Very well sniffed out.
-
Your analogy would apply nicely had you not ignored the part where you were forced out of a happy marriage.
-
Same question, conversely: Why must they define it now? Why not simply enjoy the freedom to adapt to changes down the road?
-
So they have the freedom to set "required" sales at, say one t-shirt (best for branding transition) or to make it unlimited (best for currently needed sales boost.) The New Sioux gear does demonstrate at the very least a lack of commitment to the re-brand, no?
-
If they lose recruits because of that so be it. It's actually a good way to filter out the petty-minded.
-
This sentence is the truth, but not the whole truth. In fact the settlement itself provides a specific option to give up the trademark rights without letting them go to the open market. Unless you consider the tribes part of the open market.
-
Then what is the NCAA's hidden motivation for forcing us to retain it?
-
Do you know these things, or are you simply accepting what you have heard?
-
Too bad you have no response because my original challenge was aimed at you, sounding like you knew what you were talking about.
-
So you don't care about the existence of deception?
-
The big deal is that someone somewhere created the impression that UND was simply hog-tied by the NCAA, and selling new FS merch was a requirement. In fact, NCAA strong-arming has been greatly exaggerated throughout this process.
-
To me, an easier, more natural assumption might be that UND was the party motivating the inclusion of a so-called "maintenance clause," Not the NCAA, because why would they give a rat's?

Your summary of the situation lacks the depth necessary to answer my question..
