  1. I went to my nephew's mite game last night at the olympic arena and there were two little girls about 11 or 12 running around the rink yelling "Let's go Dartmouth" *clap* *clap* *clapclapclap* - Now I found this incredibly "hostile and abusive"
  2. No, YOU need to write a letter - you're the one with the track record. ps It wouldn't hurt to write one to little Toews and little Murray
  3. You still don't get it. Oshie has a -2, Miller has a +2 - does that mean if I had a choice between playing the two of them I'ld pick Miller? No, of course not. Miller is having a good year and has improved imensely from last year, but Oshie brings many more intagibles to the game that can't be quantified. The same thing with Radke and Finley. Overall Radke is playing very well and Joe is going through some inconsistant play. I do however, remember last year during the second half of the season that Finley was very steady and reliable and I believe he has the capability of doing that again this year. He has to be doing something right to be a +5 (highest on the team) and I, for one, am just not ready to write him off. More importantly, Hak isn't ready to write him off and ultimately, his is the only opinion that matters.
  4. Ok Lives-to-play-hockey-06 here are some stats for you - ## Name GP G A Pts Shots Pct +/- 9 Jonathan Toews 11 4 8 12 33 .121 +4 7 T.J. Have they always played great - NO - there has been some obnoxiously BAD play at times. Do they play the way I want them to? - NO - I like to see really tight defense - lots of hitting and blocked shots. Do certain players drive me up a wall? - You betcha - it is like nails on a chalkboard for me to watch Brian Lee (I'm not going to get in a flaming match on whether or not Brian Lee is good or not - he just doesn't play my type of game). The point of all this is that not everything can be decifered from a stat sheet. Also, sometimes a player doesn't play "your type" of game so they automatically rub you the wrong way. I've been going to hockey games for a LONG time and I've learned over the years that not every player is going to play the way I want them to, but that doesn't mean they are bad.
  5. WHAT!?!?!?!?! Don't we have dozens of programs aimed specifically at Native Americans?
  6. What is the status with the NC$$ for this school? Seems like kind of an expensive venture to launch a new logo without having nazi approval.
  7. Ask and ye shall receive!! 11/28/2006 Brandon Bochenski (RW) Norfolk DEL Recalled from loan by Chicago (NHL) I'm waiting for Chicago's front office to call to get my numbered swiss acount to deposit my fee into.
  8. Gee, I don't remember that game being played at the REA.
  9. Found another link http://content.hamptonroads.com/story.cfm?...&ran=179190
  10. Sioux-cia you'll love this quote from the Albuquerque Tribune on October 28th. Scrappy Opener If the score didn't give reason for fans to cheer, the fights certainly did. Three fights broke out, two involving left wing Mike Prpich. Prpich smiled after landing two tough right hooks on a Sundogs defenseman. Fans were heard screaming "Rumble" when each fight initiated.
  11. That's OK Redwing. Not many on this board have been going to Sioux hockey games since they played in the old barn (ya, OK, I was 6 weeks old, wrapped up in so many blankets I'm sure I couldn't have seen or heard anything - BUT I WAS THERE). Once again I'm showing how old I am - oh well - I'm young at heart.
  12. Bochenski named CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week http://www.theahl.com/news/league/index.html?article_id=7223
  13. I don't think I would dare - it would probably stink up the house too much!!!
  14. Awesome job siouxnami. Now we need a letter for Toews and Murray.
  15. Couple days late, but see what happens when they keep the shots against under 20 and they hit people? One other thing - Schmidt really did swallow his wistle. LOTS of missed calls both ways. It actually got a little scary sometimes cause CC would take off after Towes - lots of clutching, grabbing, piggyback rides and taking runs at him - was afraid he would hurt his shoulder again.
  16. Chicago was good when Eddie was there. They didn't win a Stanley Cup, but they got to the playoffs. Then again, maybe that was before your time. I keep forgetting - I'm old.
  17. Although it would kill me to leave my Fighting Sioux, I could probably be persuaded to move to Chicago and tell them how they should run their hockey team.
  18. Nice article on Brandon's 4 goals (plus recaps of the rest of Sat night in the AHL) - what is Chicago thinking? Even if his defense leaves something to be desired, they sure could use some offense. http://www.theahl.com/news/league/index.html?article_id=7220
  19. Mike Prpich had two goals and an assist on 5 shots on goal and 6 penalty minutes in New Mexico's overtime loss on Sat night.
  20. Although the GAA took a hit, Albany did have 47 shots on goal while Lowell only had 19.
  21. Don't forget to add Karl's numbers when he plays his first game for Nashville
  22. One thing I like about this team is its diversity. One week it's Dressler, another it's Chappell (sp) another it's Trenbeth (sp) another week it's someone else. Nice to have all these options - if one's not working, just move on to the next.
