While DAZ dropped the ball (they should have probably just "planned" on doing the broadcast - it's easier to drop the planning if they don't get permission than to start it up late) I think the bigger issue here is the NC$$ with the late approval. The NC$$ are a bunch of gutless wonders. They don't have the guts to just deny the broadcast outright, but they are going to make it as difficult as possible. The NC$$ is bound and determined to jerk UND around for having the audacity to challenge them on their absurd ruling on the nickname. First the seeding of the football team in the #3 position and now delaying their approval for the TV broadcast. We all better get used to the fact that the NC$$ is very vindictive and this won't be the last time they "play" with us.

And the big news of the day is Karl Goehring got called up to Nashville today. Predators goalie Tomas Vokoun will undergo surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb on Monday and is expected to miss two to six weeks in recovery, so unless Nashville signs a different goalie Karl should get his shot at the NHL. Let's all wish Karl the best of luck.

Drew played for Buffalo last night. He had 8:57 of ice time, no shots on goal and 2 hits.

West Regionals 2006. I sit right behind the visitors' bench and when HC scored the tie up goal and then the overtime goal it was just amazing. I went nuts, the arena went nuts, but what was so incredibly awesome was watching these young kids exude pure exhilaration. They had just won their Stanley Cup. The feeling was then carried over to the entire Sioux vs Michigan game. Each goal scored just added to the already incredible atmosphere in the arena. It was so much more exciting to be able to watch all the faces of the players show their excitement close up.

I have to agree - it would be so much easier on my frustration level if all the other teams would just get it throught their heads the the SIOUX always win period!!!!!!!

I realize you said rarely, but don't tell that to David Hoogsteen, Jeff Panzer, Jason Blake or Ryan Duncan (to name a few)
