We really need a goal on this PP!!!!!!!!!! (by the way - what is Mankato doing shooting on OUR powerplay)
-
OH, that dreaded 2 goal lead in the 3rd - just had a feeling it couldn't last. Hope they don't have that 3rd period meltdown of UNH and St. Clown.
-
I'm glad Kaip got to finish the business from last year, but I am honestly wondering is Bruess worth the DQ? What I mean is, is Bruess as important to Mankato as Kaip is to us?
-
There goes my plan of everyone being distracted by Duncs and TJ so Trupp could score for Sioux Survivor.
-
Got the Buffalo/Atlanta game on in the background and that game was ugly. The score ended 10-1. Atlanta started with Hedberg in goal, switched to Lehtonen and then back to Hedberg. You have to wonder where the rest of the team was tonight leaving their goalies out to dry that bad.
-
This is going to be a very short Sioux Survivor game if we don't score again.
-
Drew is now at 3 goals and 2 assists for 5 points for the game with only 11:42 played. Having a VERY VERY good game.
-
I just hope we can get out of this period without any damage. I'm not liking the sound of things right now.
-
Stafford now with 2 goals and 2 assists and only 11 minutes played. Hope he can earn some more playing time with this game.
-
I wonder if Jutting is going to challenge this ref to a fight? Does anyone else feel like the Sioux aren't quite "on" yet? I'm feeling a little nervous right now.
-
Not familiar with this ref. Has he reffed at the Ralph? Is he any good (we know he's cautious after last weekend).
-
Quick question - do you have to be present to win?
-
Stafford has a goal and 2 assists already tonight and has only played 4:25. Very efficient!!
-
actually 1 minute into the 2nd. Nice looking goal!
-
This is kind of cool article: http://blackhawks.nhl.com/team/app?article...mp;service=page Wonder if Jonathan ever imagined he'ld have such an impact.
-
I'm in - Trupp benefitting from the reformed D O T line. Everybody focusing on Duns and TJ and Evan slips in the back door.

Oops that should have been a goal

Wisco's appeal was denied (surprise, surprise) -

Has anyone heard or know if Randy Schmidt will be reffing anywhere this weekend? Or is not announced until game time? -
That was hilarious. I was sitting down at that end and Kaip had the guy at arms length and kept skating towards the bench asking if he could go. The guys on the bench were all shouting for him to let loose and Hak just kept shaking his head no. Kaip was really bummed.

It took Mike Commodore 4 teams (New Jersey, Anaheim, Calgary and now Carolina) before he found his groove and a "home". Hopefully 4 is the magic number for Bo as well.

Don't forget the occasional wicked hard, everybody get out of the way slapshot (it's a bonus if it's on goal)

I am not a fan of Jeff Frazee and my personal opinion is that he is a head case, but I'm less than impressed with what the Minnesota goalie coach Robb Stauber said in this article: "He's building a track record of basically falling asleep," Stauber said, noting that the problem is not about working on fundamentals, but "what's going on between the ears?" This is something I would expect to hear from fans (especially from opposing fans like me) not a quote to the newspaper from a coach. I know I would be extremely upset if one of our coaches was talking to the media like this about one of our players. It's one thing to say that a certain player had a bad game or isn't playing up to their potential, but to basically say that a player is a head case to the media is in my opinion not a smooth move.
-
As much as I wish it wouldn't, I think it probably would have an impact. There is an off ice part of the award.
-
I still think we need another goalie as well.

OK, I'm going to be an aggitator here. Just for arguments sake (I know there is no way to know who would actually win), lets say that DU lost both the games that had controversial goals (SC and Wisco), that would change the point totals as follows: Colorado College 30 15-3-0 16-6-0 Denver 20 10-6-0 15-7-0 North Dakota 18 9-7-0 12-8-1 Minnesota Duluth 16 6-6-4 8-7-5 St. Cloud State 16 7-7-2 12-9-3 Wisconsin 13 6-7-1 10-9-3 Michigan Tech 11 5-8-1 9-11-2 Minnesota 11 5-8-1 11-10-3 Minnesota State 10 3-7-4 9-8-4 Alaska Anchorage 7 2-9-3 6-9-5 This changes things by putting UND only 2 points out of 2nd (which we could pass DU this weekend as we play league and they don't), St. Clown tied for fourth and Wisco only 3 points out of 5th instead of 5 Granted, as I said before, there's no way to know who would have actually won those games, but these screw-ups don't just affect the teams that played, but everyone else in the league as well (not to metion pairwise). Someone should really be accountable.
