I’m a fan of UND first and foremost. That includes all teams. Hockey only mentality will leave UND athletics and the university as a whole in the dust! do you want to be the U Montana of Montana?

No one I guess I’m the only one who doesn’t think we can put all of our into hockey and still fall behind the other school. We need to compete in football otherwise we will always be their lil brother. Hockey only fans are a disgrace to UND!

Oh so we could have sold it out if it was in MN?

Did we fill the Stadium for our outdoor game? Or do we need a Michigan or Minnesota to help us? you guys just said we could sell 40k , I’m just doubting that without some proof…..

What happens then if NDSU moves to the FBS? We then are the only niche team?

To be fair they will finally play a good opponent the next time as in EWU and will probably sell 40.000 to the game at US Bank Stadium. Most of their games are a yawn fest can we fill a hockey rink with 40k?

UND fans , alumni , and administration better get used to being the second fiddle in the state. They are beating us in sports, endowment, and in research status. Something better be done or get used to this!

Yeah I have to admit it’s been awhile since I listened to the radio in ND, but I do remember the last time I tried to listen to a game I couldn’t pick it up where I was in the state. Maybe it was a UND football game because if it was hockey I should be able to hear it anywhere in the state with 550.

they were all fluttering programs except for the UM’s last year. All their fans are just as frustrated they haven’t seen titles lately. When was the last year one of them was relevant (title)? but they seem to still get the top recruits!

Did I miss UND being mentioned in that article? FCS may be declining in popularity but AG U is not really an ordinary FCS team. FBS level talent that has made big news stories and NFL draft picks! When is the last time UND made national news? Waletzko?

Non elite programs have made it to the frozen four and won titles. Providence ring a bell?

I just feel the program is sliding the wrong direction and it’s not just our recruiting that is the main concern. How many radio stations in ND/MN broadcast the hockey games until our recently announced deal? 2 or 3? When I go into a sports bar and I only see green and gold it gets a guy worked up!

No it is just sad to see what is going on in ND to my Alma Mater. I can’t stand being second fiddle to the arch enemy! if you are not first, you are last

Belquist sure doesn’t look like the skinny freshman he once was. Looks ripped! Would not be surprised if he is the best WR in the MVFC this year! He can only get batter from the last great couple years.

What bars in the state play UND hockey games as much or more than NDSU football games? UND is barely followed anymore in the state.

You obviously do not live in ND. Go around Bismarck, Minot to sports bars and tell me what you see more logos of? Let’s not even talk about small town bars…… Scheels is just one of the signs of what’s going on. When is the last time they wrote an article on ESPN about UND? NDSU is more relevant right now outside of Fargo than UND. Not sure how you can argue that.

Yeah I never knew what NDSU was as a kid and never owned an article of clothing, and it’s not like my family was skewed only one way. NDSU wasn’t a thing. Losing the Sioux logo was a huge blow because it was replaced with a horrendous one. No moving to D1 sooner has also put us behind. Other than the beautiful UND campus improvements there is not much we are winning on between the two universities.

Those sports WERE 1a and 1b. Not anymore! UND is riding in the back to NDSU. Just check out the Scheels store in Bismarck! Mostly NDSU…… like UND barely exists. We cant let’s this get worse!

Titles are all that matter, screw good seasons when you cant win it all! I had enough of that in college. The season gets boring when you consistently choke when it matters most.
