Did I say they didn't earn it? They just really benefit from the reality of FCS football, home play-off games, oodles of them. And if the NCAA has a close decision to make the fan base and ticket sales will surely sway them the Turd's way. It's a compliment to your program, but still trying to figure what's the best conference this year.......
-
What a great observation - How about the shape of the earth, what's the latest on that? I am far more impressed with Illinois St. than the 'turd'. The 'turd' should be thankful for all the home games......just how many road playoff games have the Bison won in this stretch? I believe it's zero.
-
I expect about 5 signings on Wednesday with a couple safeties from the JUCO ranks.........just guessing. So far so good is the word on this recruiting class thus far.
-
I think that means we only have 1 top level safety on our roster right now, and that doesn't work very well over an entire season.
-
Needs to get in the weight room-
-
I found it. 6'0" 190 lbs. 4.50 forty.
-
Heck ya. How big is he......I didn't see a height and weight or 40 time or anything.
-
RB or OLB......from a source.
-
I think we will have a RB and Safety soon. K. Maurice is connected. We might be surprised in the number of Jucos and FBS guys this year, but still needs to be done.
-
Not exactly sure how it works but the 2 guys not showing up helps with our numbers going forward, so I was told.
-
And it is still 2014, so bring in 2 now, and 30 for next season. I believe that is the plan.
-
I guess Hannible and Sleight didn't count because they never were on the team and those spots are available now. So we have 32 spots open and given the complexity of our defense at the safety position, we would like a transfer now that can begin learning the calls and get a spring ball under his belt.
-
I am not going to lose sleep over it. It is almost a complement in that our defense is 11 guys at a time doing their job as 1 unit. But, let's be sure to remind the coaches next fall that the BSC doesn't think much of UND.
-
Jury is still out on Flowers. To your point, we do need to balance out the numbers based on 'needs'. Do transfers this winter count for the total number of players next fall?
-
With nickel and dime packages and a few injuries we will need to be 8 deep in the secondary to be solid all season. We are 3-4 deep with Reyes being the only stud? We lost 2 starters, so if we bring in 10, 2-3 of those don't pan out and 2-3 on the current roster are buried on the depth chart, maybe quit, the net net net 10 number isn't unreasonable.
-
I think we will see about 10 defensive backs added through jucu, fbs drop downs, and high school kids, and see who pans out on the roster. This is a passing league........ I guess the silver lining with some of the pass yardage is we can improve on ball skills and mental mistakes and that will go a long ways with the current guys we have.
-
I want a fire proof shirt and pants so we don't get lit up and smoked in 2015. (San Jose St, Mo St., E. Washington) I hope we are past these games getting so out of hand.
-
Good to know- Sacred Heart - 3 NDSU - 42 in Frisco.
-
Couldn't agree more........the 3 teams I wanted to see against NDSU were EWU, Illinois State, and UNI.(Those are the teams that could beat the Bison) So, what will end up happening is these teams in "the bracket of doom" beat the crap out of each other and a crappy team like Fordham makes a run and probably looses their starting QB in the process but makes it to the championship game. Meanwhile 3 teams lay down for the Bison, at home of course,(like the Jacks always do) and they kick the crap out of a crippled Fordham team for another title. Sound about right?

I would like to see some siouxsports.com contributions to items upon Bubba's direction. Maybe uniforms, summer scholarship funds to keep players in town, advanced training equipment, can we start a fund for coach bonuses?? Save the HP center for foundations and guys that !@#$ gold bricks.( God bless those folks that do)
-
Our top 3 QBs will be competing hard for the starting job and it will make them better players. They will all be given a shot and we might not know who the 'starter' is until a week before opener. May the best man win, that's my position.
-
Talented enough to start next year where we left off this year? Boas would be a solid insurance policy at center or guards? Thanks for the feedback-
-
Any O-line expertise on what we have coming back or need for next year?
-
Linebacker play this year was pretty darn good, helps that Schmitty played that position. Luke did well in developing the O-line but overall I say Schmitty did the best this year with his position group. But a good argument to have, 'best coach'. We have a lot of LB talent back next year and should be stacked. Bubba knows secondary play and Marty must be a pretty good coach too, you saw that with Baylee Car's play this year compared to previous years. So if Carter and another young guy or two steps up in the secondary we should be improved next year in secondary, too. We need some beef and player development on the D-line with our younger guys. I think d-line is the wild card next year on how good the D could be. On offense.......we have 3 QBs with starting experience. I don't know what is going to shake out but QB play should be better next year. O-line seems to be headed in the right direction but I don't know the losses or what we have on the roster to fill in....does anyone have a read on the O-line for next year?? We need a top notch WR badly to stretch the field. Need an effective stable of RBs, not sure we have that on our roster. I would give a bonus to coaches at Bubba's discretion. Looking forward to recruiting, signing day, and pounding some beers with the coaches.

Kicked them....Schmitty wasn't messing around today.
