I mean his current coach played at SCSU. And that coach had friends, Lee, Vande that played at UND. He would have heard the pros and cons of going to St. Cloud and UND. He's a good recruit  but again is small. Could be more of an impact player at SCSU.

There's def. some advantages and disadvantages for his scenario. Glad he chose, UND, actually thought he'd be at SCSU seeming it would be a better fit.

I hope he continues to do well in the USHL too going forward. I don't want to see another Cakebread scenario play out.

Cakebread had a female get into his head, and it cost him his hockey career.  Spent all his waking time with her and not working on his game.

    Let's see ...

    • Opening minutes and Pogo is in clean and < clang >.
    • Intentionally put him in the box (too many men) and it works, he's away on a clean break and Gersich goes ... chest-logo.

I do believe it's time to bring this one back.

Time to lead from the front and execute, lads.

Lol.  Pogo has been playing solid, I don't look at him as being an offensive juggernaut so i don't rag on him not scoring a ton of goals.  Cam was outstanding this past weekend.  Dude was like a brick wall Friday night,  St.  Cloud could have easily had 7 or 8 goals if not for some ridiculous saves.  Gersich i can agree with.  He's been lacking as an offensive talent.  We knew coming into this season that scoring would be an issue.  Honestly, in the last 3 weeks we've played the #1 & #2 teams in the nation and clearly belonged in the game without having a true offensive identity.

You can see Gardner's leg move from getting contact. Don't be the homer that every other fan base accuses us of being.

whatever buddy, you seem to have the video of the replay, post the entire thing, not just the one view that makes it look like there's contact, or are you too big of a troll? Everyone that watched the game on tv knows there wasn't contact because it showed it over and over again that the western player swung his leg out and away from Gardner before he got to him.

Yea no contact at all. Sorry for being such a troll guys! The guy dove but you can see how in real time they have to call this, right?

As i said before, the other angle that was shown multiple times, shows no contact. There looks like there's contact on this because of the angle.

Just watched the replay of the hit. Gardner stuck his leg out and tripped him. You can see Gardner's leg move when it hits the Western Michigan guy. The WMU guy layed on the ice to sell it. Blatant. Trip. Let's all take off our homer glasses.

    Go hawks.

Take a look at the view from the other direction that shows there was zero contact.  Nice try troll. Anyone have the view from literally two seconds after the end of trolls video?

Simonson a forwar and doesn't have even 1 assist in well over 1/3 of the season? Yoy.  And one o four top 3 goal scorers is a a d-man, Wolanin.  I'm no great hockey mind but could UND afford to move Wolanin up to forward to increase his scoring production or would that short us on the back end?  Just curious if something to consider in light of lack of production of many of our forwards.

I'm no great hockey mind by any means, never played the game at any level, but i would say no.  Wolanin is clearly our best defenseman, so that would leave a skill hole on the blue line.  While he's clearly gifted offensively as well, I think he'd be easier to shut down as a forward, where teams can match against him.  His skill set creates mismatch problems on the defensive end because it's like having 4 forwards on the ice, while not giving up a defensive liability.  Bottom line, the guy is a dude.  Leave him where he is, and hopefully these forwards figure it out sooner, rather than later.  They figure it out, this team will be dangerous come March, and hopefully April.

I want to know what happened when I think it was poganski who got taken down pretty much by the face behind our net with the ref RIGHT THERE, HOW IS THAT NOT A PENALTY?????

I think it's time for Berry to get vocal about the officiating.  Two weekends in a row that's been atrocious officiating. I remember that play with pogo from last night and was screaming at the tv.  There also was one that Simonson was interfered with away from the puck that kept him from getting a rebound opportunity.

What is the comment in let'sgodu blog mean? "The roughly 2,000 North Dakota fans (200 fans of a real team)......"???

I think it's a snowflake shot at the number of fans wearing Fighting Hawks gear, while the other 1,800 were wearing Sioux apparel.

I like it! Tell me why you think so, cberkas!

Oh, c'mon. Would it be absolutely unheard of for us to sweep Denver? I mean, we've only lost twice this year. We're a dang good team.

No absolutely not, I was more referencing the positive attitude.  I'm personally counting a split as a win.
