Pretty classy interview with Shaw. Glad he will take good memories with him.
Wow, that's a top notch dude there. You certainly wouldn't have blamed him if he wasn't as professional as he was.

I think next year's team takes a couple steps forward.
One, because our offense/PP can't get any worse. Just not possible.
Two, our incoming recruiting class is already more talented than our outgoing players.
Three, the rest of the league (and outside of NCHC as well) is losing a ton of players to early departures.
Already looking forward to next season.
And I'm cheering for UMass at the Frozen Four. It'd be cool to see the title stay in the NCHC, but I really can't cheer for DU or UMD. Let is go East for one season before coming back West next year.I thought that a year ago, yet here we are.

Brad only writes that article about the player most likely to leave.
If I was a betting man, I'd say Poolman is gone.
Honestly, I think he stays. Tucker was promised the world and didn't get it. I'm guessing Tucker is in his ear to stay and sign after his senior season.

I would leave if I were Adams, and I'm very concerned about JBD leaving for someplace.

I honestly feel bad for the players. While we haven't put the puck in the net this season, I honestly don't think it's on them. I realize our defense is the strongest point on this team, but outside the championship season, Berry's system hasn't done it for me. I just don't see how all these players forgot how to score once they arrived. Very frustrating 3 seasons.

Sooner or later, someone is bound to fire one all the way through his chest. Surely the numbers can't take a beating like this for 60 minutes.

Again, I get that. But, it's one weekend. I'm just having trouble equating two wins against a terrible team to us not talking about firing him.
I think much of it has to do with the smell test since the championship season. Since that season, UND hasn't been the hockey team that most of us are accustomed to. Maybe it's a lack in recruitment, but I have trouble swallowing that argument because many of these recruits were scoring at a pretty solid rate in their junior careers. Because we have such a short window into Berry's ability to develop players we don't have an innate ability to judge whether the player was a miss, or if the offensive deficiency is because of lack of development. Personally, I have a hard time buying that all these guys forgot how to score. I'm curious, if we still have an inability to score next season, will it be player misses, freshman adjustment period, or fall in the lap of the coaches?

If you think that coaching kids to their full potential isnt important but just recruiting kids to play somewhere is.. then its not worth even debating with you
Maybe I should have added a and my sarcasm could have been more easily picked up on.

Dont say that too loud stoney will come at you because Berry won his first year with Haks team..
No, that's actually Berry's team, he did the recruiting, so they were his guys, but we're just getting rid of Hakstol's dead weight players. Just wait until next year.

Just for anyone flying by, not everyone has torches and pitchforks. Even if they miss the tournament, which is probably likely at this point, the future is bright. When the same staff has them rolling in the next few years, we'll see how selective the memories are of the bandwagon jumpers.
I would gladly eat my words because I'd be wrong and the team would be performing according to und hockey standards again.

per Tim, JBD is sitting to clear his head, not injury related
Say goodbye to him. If he's sitting because of play, what the %$#@ is Rhett doing in the lineup?

You mean the 12 team with Brock Nelson, Carter Rowney, Danny Kristo, Rocco Grimaldi and Corban Knight? Yep, not much up front there.
And Kawaguchi, Adams, Wilkie, Hoff, and Weatherby lit their leagues up in scoring. So, were they not that good to start with and only got lucky in juniors, or is their a problem with the development and the systems? I'm voting the latter based on what I've seen outside a team stacked full of NHL talent.
Boeser looked better playing against NHL players than he did playing against college players his sophomore season.

Question for you jersey pros:
What exactly am I looking for when I go to a store and want to buy the jersey the NHLers wear on the ice? Is it “pro authentic” that I’m looking for? I don’t want just a fancy replica.
"Authentic" and if it's not $300 it's not the real deal. Stitched everything. Every emblem should be its own patch, nothing from the NHL is an embroidered emblem, or what I mean is thread stitched to the jersey to create the logo. If it's essentially smooth to the base jersey, it's not authentic.

While there's potential that next year's forwards give this team a shot it needs, I'm hesitant to believe it. The same was said for Kawaguchi, Adams, Mismash, Hoff, and Weatherby. Have we missed horribly on all those supposed performers, or is it a system that's stifling them. I could believe one or two, but I can't help but believe that at this point it's coaching, and that next year's talent will only add to fan frustration.
I know we made the tournament the year after the championship, but remember we just barely made it. Without having an NHL star on that team, we're looking at not making the NCAA tournament since the absolutely loaded team of 16. That's a frightening thought that could be very well representative of the future.
Edit for additional info: I can't believe this team is any less talented up front than the team of Pattyn, Parks, and Macmillan, or the 12 team lead by Lamoureux and Blood.

Love how you only show up after losses. You should go to GPL and celebrate with your buddies on their win over ASU. You seem to enjoy our misery a little too much.
Pretty sure he's here all the time and has been saying the same thing since Canisius. I realize some of you are eternal optimists, but this season ended that weekend. This team isn't going to win out, this team is not going to go into Denver or Kalamazoo and win, but this team WILL miss the NCAA tournament for the second season in a row, and 2 out of 4 for Berry's tenure.
I've heard everyone say that Berry did the recruiting for the championship team when they want to put down Hakstol, and I've seen that some group defend this downward spiral saying they are Hak's recruits. I like Berry, seems like a good dude, but if this team even looks remotely the same next season, he needs to go. Shaw better be gone after this season, power play guru my @$$.

Senden line draws a penalty. Can we strip Rhett's A and give it to Mark?
