How do you plan to manage the CHL, USHL NAHL etc?

Jax: We're gonna really try to be really present in Western Canada. Yeah, I've always had good players out there, and there's a whole new market there. So we're gonna do a good job knowing all the players Well, and, and, but we, but we won't. You know our the Midwest is important for us. You know Minnesota is important for us. We'll make sure we're doing a great job knowing the players. So to me, it's not so much about where they are, what league they're in, is, are they the right guys? Do they bring the values we're looking for? Are they guys that are kind of connected to our program?”

Missed a local D Man that was pretty integral on a team that beat the defending National Champs a few months ago. Talk about culture, would have been the perfect addition for culture.

Part of me wants to get a message on Thursday reading:

”Head Coach Jackson is currently unavailable to complete the press conference as previously scheduled. He is deep in the trenches of talking with CHL players and coaches, potential recruits, and players in the portal.  He has not slept in the last 72 hours due to rebuilding a roster. If anyone is willing to sponsor 2 weeks of Red Bull to keep his momentum going, please contact AD Chaves for drop off. Thank you”

Red Bull is weak, shouldn't even be considered an energy drink. With that said, I'll pitch in 3 cases of Bang.

Ahhhh. That makes A LOT more sense.

Said this to a couple people.... wasn't happy about losing Perron and OMac, but couple those two with Sacha, that was a very bad hour for UND.

I'm honestly okay with it. I'd rather have guys that want to be here and are willing to bleed green. I want the MacMillan, Pattyn, Mario guys that will lay their seasons on the line to block a shot, and then be willing to take a game off and lay some leather on someone that takes liberties with one of our guys.

BU with 3 straight F4...I remember back in the day when UND would go to a bunch of F4.

I remember people calling for that coach to be fired because he couldn't win it all. I remember arguing with those people, making the argument that I'd rather be there every year in the mix than to win one and be an after thought for years. I should have been a fortune teller.

"Vultures are out" for teams going after Boisvert:

Am I the only one, but I really hate the "filing spots" from the portal. You're grabbing guys that have already bailed on one team, and bringing them onto yours. I don't have inside information, but I can't believe they're going to buy into the program the way a recruited player would. It just irritates me to no end that we're supplementing so much from transfers.

    Here's where we sit.

    Leaving

    • Tychonick

    Waiting On

    • Pinto
    • Bernard-Docker

Here's my question. Are we actually waiting on word from Pinto? Or is this more of a JBD situation from last year? By that I mean he was never an early departure risk, so we wouldn't get a statement like we have from Kawaguchi, Kierstad, Adams, Mismash.

I'm not going to move the goalposts, I said before anyone announced their decision, if this team keeps the # of early departures (now including transfers as well) to two or less, they will be in great shape.

Pinto stated coming in the plan was two years. I don't see how a shortened season would change that.

  7. I had never been to a hockey game in my life, my girlfriend at the time, now wife, was a Grand Forks native. She finally talked me into going to a game, Sioux-Gophers in January of Oshie's final season. She somehow talked her uncle out of his season tickets for Saturdays game. The place was electric. I know we won, but I have no specific memory from the game besides realizing I was now a hockey fan.

Can I infer if Bergum was running the NDHSAA they'd still be playing basketball?

Because 6,000+ high school kids gather at a few locations in Fargo everyday.

Man, I don't know. Haven't had a conversation with him. All I know is people are losing their minds. Walmart is completely out of toilet paper, and adults are buying baby wipes. I swear to god, as a father with 2 in diapers yet, if they don't get wipes in soon, I'm going to bust caps in people.

Will do. I think she was coming at it from the angle of having to make up days that were missed. I told her not to worry about it. The governor can make changes in emergencies if needed.

Ahhhhh... yeah, I don't think there's that. NDCDE offers full classes online, not makeup days.

For what it's worth, my wife mentioned that she did look up that the ND department of public instruction does not recognize any form of online learning from home.  Obviously that could change, but currently we're not set up to do things remotely.

You should probably look into the North Dakota Center for Distance Education. Online school based in North Dakota.

#5.  Train Wreck.  Ever seen these goons play?  Watching Godsmack clown it up on the ice makes me want to punch a baby.  Their 1st line center once slew-footed his own 8 year old kid in a father-son game.  Sheesh.

#4.  St Cloud State.  I think I’ll wear a red MAGA hat there this year along with my SIOUX jersey.  That should really help rile up the protesters.

#3.  Boston College.  This smug bunch of choir boys deserves to get their collective asses kicked every time they step on the ice.

#2.  Minnesota-Duluth.  Where do we start with this one?  From Ciskie and DrunkHockeyGuy to the weekly diving contests the fans are subjected to...oh, not to mention that Herter and Sandelin have totally turned to the dark side of the force.

#1.  Minnesota.  From the 40something fan who poked my then 7-8 year old in the chest at the X while yelling, “Sioux suck!” at him to the Gopher goons who caused $3,000 worth of damage to my new 2010 Ford Escape while it was parked at the Victory Ramp years ago - all punishment for the crime of me wearing a Sioux jersey and parking next to you...I don’t need any reasons other than these.  Hands down winner.

Some greasy fingered gopher fan touches my kid like that and I'd do him the favor of knocking the rest of his teeth out.

Another tip for your smaller people.....look at the youth jerseys.  I fit into a xlarge youth jersey for a $45 savings.

This worked for my wife as well.
