What I think will be interesting is what happens to NDSU if we win? Not sure they should even drop, but maybe they will drop to 2 or 3. But even if they lose they are still pretty much a lock for at least #2 in playoff seedings. We need this more than them......LFG!

It was definitely the right call to increase the single game NDSU tickets so that UND got the money instead of other people buying them cheap and selling and profiting. I agree the corner ones probably should be a little less as those aren't good seats, but sounds like they are almost sold out. It was their first time raising them that much for the SU game. Maybe they will adjust the corners a little bit in two years. But it doesn't seem they are that far off from getting it right, and at least they tried. Plus Im sure hoping in two years we are an even better team than we are now and even more excitement around the football program.

I only have DraftKings, I rarely gamble....but they don't have that game. I would have put a little money on a 13.5 spread at the Alerus.

I haven't watched much of any NDSU this year, is their rushing yardage coming mostly from Payton or the RB's? We've been pretty good against the run this year, and against running QB's. I know Payton is really really good, but at least We've seen quite a few running QB's this year. I imagine YSU QB probably the closest skill set to Cole that We've played? Running QB's will always get some yards, but its refreshing that our defense no longer makes them look like Heisman candidates. Hope they can keep him somewhat contained on Saturday.

Agree, to have 1st down and mid field and go 0-4 is not good. Actually need to get at least something on the first 3 downs so its not 4th and 10. Even a 4 yard completion on 2nd down makes it 4th and 6th and a lot more options. Red zone and the two minute offense (particularly in situations where you cant run the ball because no timeouts) need improvement.

If we only beat SDSU but lose to NDSU, think it depends how close that loss is. If its a tight game vs SU and then we beat SDSU I dont see how they could put SDSU ahead of us. I think we'd be top 8, but ya anything is possible. SDSU is getting the benefit right now of their name and recent success, and possibly leniency due to QB being out. When is their starting QB expected back? If he is back by the time we play him they will be a better team then thwt have been in ghe last couple of weeks.

I meant you didnt need to post a quote explaining what happened in the Richmond game 10 years ago, I know what happened in that game. Special teams, Jerry’s picks, and SS's fumble all cost us the game. I'm not denying for a second that special teams didn't cost us Saturday.

I don’t know if he was ever asked about it, but on that one pick on the sidelines, there was a UND WR coming back towards Jerry. I think he may have been trying to dump it to him, but the DB covering the other WR peeled off his guy and stepped in front of the UND WR and caught it. I could be wrong, but I think that is maybe what happened and why it looked so bad and is why Jerry didnt throw the ball further out of bounds, think he was trying to make a play to that WR instead of throwing it away.

My guess is they do try and get permission for the ND logo on the helmets for this game, and wear the same combo as two years ago against SU. Then all black against SDSU.

I was thinking leading up to this game, we could be witnessing a special season, but I felt I needed to see how this USD game played out. I still feel really good about this team and what they can do. When it comes to playoffs, I just want to be opposite side of bracket as NDSU. That is the only FCS team we probably cant beat at their place. Montana in the cold would be tough, but we were better than them the last time. I still think a deep, semi-finals type of run can happen, maybe more. We'll find out a lot this coming weekend.

We are still a top 10 team. Played our worse game of the year, literally gave the 16 points and we still almost won. We are a good team, we were not good today however. I would feel a lot worse if we were getting gashed up and down the field, but our defense gave up 10. Still frustrating as heck today though. I expect a great game next Saturday.

Dude, you don't need to post this, I remember exactly what happened. And I remember the blocked punt against Stony Brook that year too that cost us the game. I said a handful of times the year or two after that, that Kostich needed to go....I was so pissed about Stony Brook and Richmond game. But then....you know what, I let it go. Our kickers have struggled for sure, but overall our Special Teams have been pretty good. And because I brought up Simon, doesn't mean I wasn't one of the people pissed that Jerry didnt get some playing time last year, almost all of us were. The amount of times you mention Kostich or Simon each week though.....my god. Maybe hop on your bike and go burn off some Kostich/Simon frustration each day.
