So I give my position on one very specific situation on how to potentially not escalate the matter, thus keeping everyone (police, protester, and President) as safe as possible in that situation, and I am now giving out hugs in my community? Nowhere have I given my position one the protests, the violence that has sprung up around the protests, or the incident that has led to the current events.
It seems as if nuance is not only dead, but it has been beaten to death by jumps in logic and painting with broad strokes.
Well... Cops are bad, whitey is bad, so yes I think you hit the nail on the head with the painting with broad strokes comments.

Do you know how long it takes to stop a semi traveling at highway speeds? The amended reports indicated he was on the highway legally and closing time was moved up to 5pm on short notice. I’m not sure how someone was supposed to know there were people massing on the interstate. He reportedly hit the horn and slowed down to 30 mph by the time he got to the crowd. He didn’t hit anyone and unless he states otherwise, nothing in the video indicated he was trying to injure anyone. You have no idea of what “he figured” nor his intentions. Let the authorities sort it out before we judge.
Agreed. He did an excellent job of alerting with his horn while slowing down without losing control. If he would’ve panicked and pulled his emergency brake there could have been hundreds injured or dead.

I guess you don't feel this has anything to do with the guy in Nashville either. ;
His neighbors could have laughed at him, they could say this type of stuff doesn't. happen here. Instead, they took action.
This may seem insignificant to you,. While it may not be earth changing, it seems whole lot better than the heads of both political parties tweeting back and forth saying they are right. These people found a common objective and took action. That is what makes America great.
Thank God the officer who shot him wasn’t white, and Trump wasn’t president then. Otherwise that incident would’ve evoked uncontrolled riots and vandalism, with CNN and NBC making excuses for the criminal activity.

Is this laughable
SIOUXFAN97 reacted to thisHow does any of that relate to a man in Nashville walking a dog?
Hint- it doesn’t. -

Time to rename “worship service” into “peaceful protest “.
It appears currently that the only way to gather in large numbers at a church and avoid getting arrested is if you have the intention of burning it down

Has Walz relaxed the religious gathering restrictions? Or is it still worse to have 11 people praying together than having thousands rioting, looting, and vandalizing together?

I’m a big fan of The Purge too especially the TV series but I won’t be out doing that. Was thinking though a lot of scenes across the country have looked right out of the show.
Yeah, I like it too. But I figured I better clarify my statement by saying just the nut cases who are fans of the show. Hopefully that excludes us.

Meh, I dunno.
Radical groups are certainly trying to influence the situation, but I'd say the vast majority of protesters are ordinary Americans fed up with inequality in this country. This been boiling under the surface for decades. In light of today's ultra-divisive political climate, on top of coronavirus, unemployment, the killing of George Floyd was the tipping point.
I just think too many nut cases are fans of the movie The Purge.

This is the definition of "should have reacted sooner". Lol.....parts of the town are burned to the ground you moron.
The best decision made by local and state officials since George Floyd’s death was the arrest of the CNN crew.

So they’re both right or both wrong for golfing.
I believe the answer they are looking for is Trump is wrong for golfing, and it’s racist to accuse Obama of being wrong for golfing.

Exactly. They’ve spent half their virus coverage saying trump or Fox News haven’t taken this seriously enough.

I got my first real exposure
Got it at the five-and-dime
Coughed 'til my lungs just bled
Was the summer of Covid-One-NineMe and some guys from school
Stood together, not real far
We're all fine, granny got buried
We spread that virus, near and farOh, when I look back now
That summer seemed to last forever
And if I had the choice
Yeah, I never wanna be there
Those were the worst days of my lifeAin't no use in complainin'
When you've got no job to do
Governor shut all the store fronts
So there's nothing to do, yeahStandin' on your mama's porch
You told me that you'd wait fourteen days
Oh, and when you held my hand
I knew that it was Wuhan fever
Those were the worst days of my life
Oh, yeah
Back in the summer of Covid-One-Nine, ohMan we were killin' time
We were just quarantined
We needed to unwind
I guess nothin' can last forever, two more weeks, no!
Yeah! And now the times are changin'
Look at the economy, it's just plain gone
Sometimes when in the lockdown
I think about China, I wonder what went wrongStandin' on your mama's porch
You told me that it'd last just two more weeks, yeah
Oh, and when you held my hand
I knew that it was touch exposure
Those were the worst days of my life
Oh, yeahBack in the summer of Covid-One-Nine, oh
It was the summer of Covid-One-Nine, oh, yeah
Me and my baby in Covid-One-Nine, oh
It was the summer
The summer, the summer of Covid-One-Nine, yeahExcellent

Totally reasonable and I agree. But with covid you could be asymptomatic, so extra measures should be taken.
Do you always get eight hours of sleep before getting behind the wheel? If not, you should never drive under those circumstances. You know, extra measures of precaution and all.

Have you seen what Spain has found with their antibody testing? They are figuring 5% of their population has been infected and their death rate per capita exceeds the US. In other words, this could suck for a long time.
I guess I just took the news of seven really old, vulnerable people not even getting sick from it, along with 13 others also not showing any symptoms, was a good thing. My bad.
maybe it’s because there’s no Spaniards in Mayville?
-
Heard on the radio about the outbreak at the nursing home in Mayville. They said something like 13 staff and 6 or 7 residents tested positive. Everyone was asymptomatic. I’m really interested in hearing about the antibody testing results once it gets ramped up; and we get a much better picture of what the actual hospitalization and death percentages are.

So you are in agreement with the Reverend of that church that, photos in front of a church are worse than killing cops, destroying businesses, rioting and looting?
