Right, that's what I was thinking in terms of coffee or 5 hour energy amounts. It just seems like it is so easy to regulate, I find it hard to believe the kid accidentally OD'd on 5 hour energy.

And here's your entire quote: Caffeine is a banned substance by the NCAA. A urinary caffeine concentration exceeding 15 micrograms per milliliter (corresponding to ingesting about 500 milligrams, the equivalent of six to eight cups of brewed coffee, two to three hours before competition) results in a positive drug test. I take that to mean it is banned once exceeding 15 micrograms per millileter. Maybe i'm interpreting it wrong.

"In high amounts, it can lead to testing positive for a banned substance." https://www.ncaa.org/sites/default/files/Caffeine and Athletic Performance.pdf

If looking at the situation using logic, motive, and corroborating comments from others who have been through the ndsu football program doesn't work for you, i guess you can just call it holding their comments in "high regard". Not sure of the answer to your riddle. Seems irrelevant as long as ndsu refuses to come clean on the situation. Notice in the original article Brock said somebody within the program supplied it, and he had no idea it contained a banned substance. Caffeine is not a banned substance. It is a regulated substance. If word choice matters (which admittedly is debatable given these are all ndsu folks) then I have a hard time believing the new narrative that it was caffeine.

Coin with REA on one side, and the Minard Hall collapse on the other.

So you’re contending the Robbins family goes public to stick up for their son, but wouldn’t bother to mention, oh by the way, it was caffeine? lol
-
So the turds won’t believe the Robbins family when they are quoted, but now all of a sudden they fully believe the stimulant in question is caffeine, despite zero reports stating it was caffeine. And we are the ones jumping to conclusions.

And Bill didn’t have sexual relations with Monica, because it depends on what the definition of is, is. All I can say is good luck with your defense in the court of public opinion.

Wow you guys are sure getting ripped off by Ben Newman if apparently, according to your posts, all he’s been providing is overpriced Folgers.

You want quotes? Did you even bother to read the article? You can choose like the rest of turdnation to stick your head in the sand. I however prefer to bask in Robbins' multiple statements that expose what is going on at ndsu. Below are a couple exact quotes from the article written on January 30th. His mother, Lori Robbins, said a “trusted program staff member” provided a pre-workout powder that contained an illegal substance or substances. The university denies the supplement came from a staff member. NDSU athletic director Matt Larsen said Robbins “got it from another student-athlete.” He didn't elaborate.

At least we’re not up by 2.

I explained this to you the first time you brought it up a few days ago.

I prefer no abbreviations. North Dakota Steroid University.

As the Common Man Dan Cole would say, "either they're onto something, or they're on something." turns out it's the latter.
-
I've read the thread. Nobody on here has said every single player was taking the PEDs.
-
So what is your stance exactly? Do you want ndsu to be allowed to break the rules without punishment and without others getting upset? Or do you want full on roids for all?
-
That’s a great question you pose at the end of your response. Maybe a lot of it has to do with their ISP. You know, their Illegal Substance Program. As a fellow UND fan who clearly bleeds kelly green, what do you think?
-
Thanks for the info. Makes me wonder why Matt Larsen decided to lie to the newspaper regarding who provided it. I’m sure within 2,3 years Kolpack will schedule a follow up interview. Unfortunate ndsu had a handful of players participate in the playoffs while under the influence of an NCAA banned substance.

Homer for the win
-
You’re choosing to believe the player and his family are lying. I fail to see their incentive to lie and make up a story about a staff member, and also make up a story about prevalent use throughout the locker room.
-
Most of your questions are irrelevant, as we know it was a supplement/substance banned by the NCAA. You’re trying to split hairs in an attempt to hopefully make it sound less serious, but to the NCAA and it’s rules, it doesn’t matter. Did you read Kolpack’s article? We know a member of the staff was distributing it to the players, as Lori told us. We don’t know which players, however we know she said it was used throughout the locker room. Hopefully this clears up your confusion.
-
Yet you’re the one saying calling for sanctions is laughable even though the player has said this illegal PED was used “throughout the locker room. So, the fact you would characterize this situation as something to laugh off, is actually the “quite telling” opinion. I never said it was in the basement of the Fargodome; i’m assuming it would be much easier for them to store these large quantities of drugs in the hopper bins over by the livestock barns.
