& you are just a contrarian trying to make trouble & we don't like the tune or words to your music & I think you are also in a small minority as far as the Bison name, in my analogy -

Your right you do not understand & it is too much to try & bring folks up to date - who really don't care or just want to keep the rivalry & smack talk alive - to us it is real & happening & most of us have hope to keep the name & for some time it was looking bleak & many mistakes & negative forces were happening - The Legislature had the wisdom to try & right some of the wrongs & hopefully the NCAA will re-visit why it all happened & consider the positives that have happened. ie. Spirit Lakes approval - the Standing Rock not letting their people decide & the fact they really did give approval a long time ago - the fact that the name has been truly honored & respected (other than a few idiotic people in the past - trying to be smack / put down rivals. -folks most likely from Fargo / Bison that are still doing everything they can to discredit the Fighting Sioux. We need your help & support - not rivalry at this time - There are too many forces (but actually very small # of people) looking to blow anything even remotely negative, out of proportion, or to make it a controversy just for news / sensationalism or partician politics. This probably is why the NCAA would not meet in public - this has all been said over & over & over like a broken record. I think it was and still is opportunity to talk about the issue & maybe a new outlook could be obtained If not I do believe most of us can live with not wearing the Logo at a future potential playoff - at least for me,the schools that maybe (MAYBE) won't play us - I don't care about them & think it's their bad decision. If PETA could convince the ncaa that animal names were not right for human teams - how would the Bison Fans react ? -

now & forever Apr 15, 5:39 PM EDT UND resuming Fighting Sioux merchandise licensing BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- The University of North Dakota is going to keep licensing Fighting Sioux merchandise next year. North Dakota University System Chancellor Bill Goetz says UND will also be using its Fighting Sioux nickname and American Indian head logo during the 2011-12 school year. UND had been planning to discontinue the nickname and logo in August. The NCAA considers the nickname and logo hostile and abusive, and it says UND will face sanctions if it keeps using them. But the North Dakota Legislature approved a bill that says UND has to keep the nickname and logo. Goetz says because of that, UND asked to resume merchandise licensing. UND had stopped approving new merchandise designs last October as part of the university's plans to quit using the logo and nickname.

we always have a good shot & get to see great hockey in one of the best facilities in the world - It won't be long & the Goophs & Wisco will be sorry they jumped ship - Big 10 Hockey will never be all that or anything I'd envy - just being a contender every year has given us more pleasure than winning the big one once in a Blue Moon - nor would I want to live in Minneapolis or Madison - We have the best Waterfowling & Hockey & People in the USA - what more could you want

NCAA Meeting - On Fighting Sioux or Et Tu Brute?

Or they accept that if we can get a long term agreement with Spirit Lake then that is more fair & that they did not know about Standing Rock having given prior approval - the current council is not letting their members vote - so now they should not be able to hold everyone hostage Or if we can hold a referendum & prove that the majority wants to keep the name (especially Sioux county) then that should be good enough Or if we if we change name to UND Spirit Lake Sioux (with their approval) & maybe even share some of the proceeds from the logo, then they will back off & accept the States will & they have learned how important this is to us / & how respectful we have been & the 1st agreement was in error & unfair compared to how they have let others keep their names - they have decided to reconsider -
maybe preparing for the game breaks / commercials - it was really a momentum changer that whole shoveling in front of the bench on every break was weird (but was surprised how much snow they shoveled up) but really was a distraction to the team & coaches Hak & crew are Great - we will be back

Frozen Four Watch Parties NCAA Frozen Four Semi-Final | UND vs. Michigan | Thursday, April 7, 2011 R.T. O

They looked pretty physical - & pretty consistent Thu many lines - not many stood out
-
Kelly & Faison & the SBOHE still need to step up & show some support - Plus Hoeven - Berg & Conrad - this could be it "The Big Chance" The SBOHE needs to drop any thoughts of a constitutional challenge & finally ask the NCAA to reconsider - if Standing Rock is still a problem then a Referral vote / Referendum will prove what they want once & for all - I hope we don't need to do this (& this was one of the biggest mistakes the 1st time in the lawsuit) Spirit Lake should have been enough - Standing Rock is too far away & mostly in SD to really care about UND We need a UNITED (positive) meeting with the NCAA
-
How about after we win ? What Hotel are the Sioux in ? I can't hardly temper myself - I can't think of anything else - hardly do anything else & it's still 6 days away I'm even leaving SW ND tomorrow because I will not let some potential storm get in my way or make me late to get to St Paul I have always been a Fighting Sioux Fanatic - But some how the MOJO is stronger than ever
