UND will play two series against Omaha every season since they are our conference "rival". Denver has CC, SCSU with UMD, and Miami with WMU so we get Omaha.

Does anyone know what the record is for points by a freshman at UND? There are probably some 80's freshman that put up crazy numbers but as far as recent players go, Boeser has to be getting up there.

I think UND has never lost there. I know St. Cloud swept them this year in Kalamazoo.

I think SCSU and UND are the only teams to win at Lawson this year. Definitely not an easy place to go in and sweep.

I don't see how Eaves survives this season. He shouldn't have survived last season. There is no reason a program like Wisconsin should have a 4 win season in a conference as bad as the Big 6. Now this year they only have 6 wins and two of those are against Arizona State (pretty much a club program). He will have fewer wins in two seasons than UND had before Christmas this year. This year will make 6 consecutive years without an NCAA tournament win. And worst of all his teams are ridiculously boring to watch. They've lost thousands of season ticket holders and if USCHO fan forum is any sign, they are about ready to tar and feather him. He was probably the right call when they hired him but there is no way he is the right coach to be at the helm next year.

No expert either. Just looking at it, I would think Minnesota would be right around Mankato at 24. They have similar records, both did poorly out of conference, are from bad conferences, and split with each other. I think those teams are really close to each other. Miami dropped from 18 to 23 with a loss and Duluth jumped from 24 to 17 with a win today. Does Jim Dahl still do his Pairwise analysis? That would be interesting to look at after this weekend.

I thought we played well tonight. Carried the play for the most part without our two best forwards and without Stecher for almost half of the game. As long as Stecher isn't hurt long term, this weekend will have ended as well as possible in my opinion.

Motte for Michigan put up two goals tonight so he's three back now. One goal back of being the freshman leader and he doesn't get the benefit of playing Little 6 opponents.

WMU doing what they have to. They aren't calling obstruction so keep doing it if you can't skate with your opponent.

At this point I wouldn't be surprised at all if Omaha finishes in 7th or 8th. They still have to play us, SCSU, and Denver. I think 6th, 7th, and 8th will be WMU, UNO, and CC in some order but I have no idea which order. UND and SCSU pretty much have locked the top two spots down and Denver is unlikely to fall out of third unless Miami completes the sweep this weekend.

Considering how different CC and Omaha's seasons have been, it is crazy to look at the possible conference standings after this weekend. If CC wins tomorrow, they will be tied for 6th in the NCHC and possibly only 3 points back of having a home game in the first round of the conference tournament. Omaha could come out of the weekend tied for last in the NCHC. Hopefully not because that would mean we lost to WMU but still pretty crazy.

I've watched this a lot and though I think it hits the post due to the direction it bounced back; I don't think it is obvious. However, the review should have been no more than a minute or two since there is no obvious evidence to change what they called on the ice. Also, WMU needs to fix the angle they have for their over the net camera. It's near impossible to make a 100% certain call with an angle that bad.

There is no reason a review should take longer than a minute or so. If you haven't seen anything to overturn it by then, you are never going to see enough to definitively overturn a call.

Schlossman said Schmaltz and Caggiula haven't had any setbacks but are still questionable for this weekend. He's leaning towards thinking they won't play against WMU.

Ties suck. Much rather watch 4x4 or 3x3 or even a shoot out than have the game end in a tie. Or if you don't want a gimmick then treat every game like playoff hockey and play until there is a winner.
