  1. either or both would be great additions
  2. Moo U won't fall off the map, but winning another NC is VERY slim odds.
  3. I see at least 3 possibly 4 losses for the Ag school and 4-5 wins for UND. The good news is that progress will be made and the following 2 years should be making a push at the playoffs.
  4. So who is on the inside that can tell us which recruit or recruits is visiting this weekend?
  5. I like this analysis and would love to see some DL guys that could win the battle in the trenches. Secondary is important to get better at, but when you have the guys up front that can create pressure, it makes it a lot easier on the secondary. Offensively, I don't think we will be as bad as some might think, but again we need to win at the line of scrimmage in order for play action to be effective. Some may doubt Bubba, but I think he and his new staff will do a fantastic job of getting the program back on track, although it may take a couple of years to do so.
  6. LMAO! Now that shows the true intellect of a Ag fan. My guess is that he is upset that a NDSU medical degree only allows you to work on animals.
  7. Wow, Moo U really thinks that have everything. The campus is a joke compared to UND. Our facilities across the board (Alerus, Betty, Ralph) are better (coming soon IPF). Our medical, law and aviation schools are well respected across the region if not the country. The fact is, most kids that come to play football are looking to get a education, hence "student athlete". Maybe the Ag school should focus more on recruiting athletes that aren't getting arrested and can stay eligable. Then again, maybe businesses are excited to hire those with a national championship ring and a criminal record? Personally, I would rather my son keep his dignity while attending a real University, than to send him to a dairy farm and leave with parole.
  8. Usually when a recruit has verballed, that is when other schools turn up the heat. Every school is trying to steal a recruit from someone else, it is just part of the game.
  9. Personally, I believe for us to be successful we need to have about 50% of our entire roster from ND,SD,MN, with another 25% from WI,Ill,IA and NE. Having kids from the midwest that have great work ethic, smart and tough will help us return the program to its former glory. Not that I want us to become a power running team only, but to have the ability to pound the ball down the field when we need to and open up play action. Bubba seems to be headed this direction and I am excited to see what we look like over the next few years.
  10. I spoke with a friend of mine (D-II) that coached against Rudolph many times. He told me that Rudolph is a great selection for UND. "Elated"? "Horrible coach"? To me that sounds like a parent/s that didn't agree with how much playing time their kid was getting. I seriously doubt Bubba would pick a "horrible coach" to be his OC.
  11. Moo U likes to think that they will just keep on winning championships and kids will continue to keep rolling in. The fact is that Bohl will likely pull a few from this current class and a few will likely commit to a different school because of the coaching change. UND will likely pull 1-2 recruits because of the changes at the Ag school, but Moo U people tend to forget that most recruits do NOT choose a school based solely on the football program. I know it is hard to understand, but when those Ag kids aren't playing football or getting arrested, they need to attend classes. Personally, I don't really care what the Ag school does, I know that we have a solid coaching staff in place that will go after the right kids to fit the program and help us compete at a very high level.
  12. I almost spit my coffee out........... NDSwho?
  13. Considering some of those 18 yr olds parents weren't born or were very young, they probably aren't familiar with him.
  14. Does anyone know if the new staff has recruits coming to visit?
  15. Is there anyone here that is native american and offended by the Sioux nickname/logo?
  16. Of course he will get kids NDSU wanted! Now that Bohl is gone and has taken nearly the entire staff along with some of Moo U's recruits, they will not enjoy the success they have over the past 3 years. Bohl should really send a check to Tim Brewster thanking him for 3 championships.
  17. I completely disagree with nearly everything you stated. For example, U of M lost recruits to Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska and even NDSU by the boat loads while Tim Brewster was the HC. Since Jerry Kill, the Gophs have lost very few if any recruits to those schools and currently have one of the top RB recruits in the country committed along with a top TE recruit from Wisconsin and DE recruit from MN.
  18. Why are they showing Renegade? Isn't Chief Osceola on the horse?
  19. If UND had started the process in the 70's or 80's, they would have gotten it approved.
  20. If you feel this way, then you are saying that the new staff was as much or more talent to work with as they did this past year and I don't think that will be the case. The staff will do a great job with what they have to work with and I think they will even put together a decent recruiting class, but it will take a couple of years to get over .500.
  21. I don't believe that hockey has any impact on the football program. IMO, it comes down to coaches being able to recruit the best possible players to fit the system.
