  1. I could see art museum because the Art commission(whatever they are called) says they want 42nd to be their art district. Anything Library I hear is about in front of Kmart.
  2. I thought I read somewhere that the Alerus and surrounding area(parking lot) is designed to allow expansion atleast to the south? Could this possibly ever lead to seating? Edit: here is a article that talks about buying land to the south for expansion although it doesn't say it would be to expand the arena specifically: http://www.grandforksherald.com/content/alerus-center-revenue-growth-prompts-upgrades-possible-expansion
  3. I always wondered how if the Alerus Center was built on or right near the East side of campus how it would be percieved even if it is the exact same building it is right now.
  4. Is there no UND branding on the main concourses? I know there is some UND pictures and green lighting near the UND locker room that I saw last year when I got a chance to go back in the hallway. Also had Big Sky team logos. Best way is to specify that is where you want the funds to go to. I have talked to some players who said it'd be nice to have the locker rooms over there instead of having to walk across memorial to get to the HPC and tracking mud in (due to excess dirt from construction). Is the locker rooms only going to be for Football when the new phase is built or for all the sports that use the Hyslop now?

    Bye Week

If it came down to Howard Wood vs Alerus; Alerus would win in quality of facility.

    Bye Week

Howard Wood Field has been updated in recent years, but typically only host high school games and Track & Field. I know USF plays on campus, and I believe Augustana has a on campus field or shares USF's so I don't think any college teams play here consistently. I do know NDSU played USD or SDSU here a few years ago and it was sold out weeks in advance.
  7. I can't personally confirm, but I heard, Green pants, white socks for lower. I'd assume green jersey for a greenout.
  8. I'm interested to see the green pants that are being worn tomorrow.
  9. When I did student work in Twamley I was told absolutely no Sioux apparel.
  10. The TD passes were some pretty good throws. His drop back and hurry made it seem like it should've been a slant route. Even a couple of extra steps,, a 5 step instead of 2/3 could allow you to see over the line a little btter and see the routes opening.

    2015 stats

I felt good about the defense with turnovers coming into the year. Didn't happen. Last year we seemed to get plenty of interceptions, but we did have better secondary. But it seems to show that it was more the athlete than good coverage plays.
  12. Seibel the WR that is sitting out in the flats wide open? With a DB about 5 yards off? I noticed someone open that sat a few yards from the line of scrimmage, it actually took a few takes to figure out who the pass was trying to hit.

    2015 stats

Still good rushing defense. Turnover is a big state we are a -6 in that department. -1 this last weekend. I want to see turnovers that led to points but I don't think that is an official stat.
  14. 2014 FCS Average Attendance (overall including Natty Champ): 8,130 UND Hockey averages in the upper, 11,000+ and typically sold out. The Big Chill at the Big House. 113,411 announced attendance between Michigan and Michigan State. END FCS and hockey stats Everyone likes to see the big dog fall. Expecially David vs Golliath which a USD victory over NDSU looked like. The two schools can poke some fun at each other and we would accept that. But when people come to a UND forum and drag UND down for no reason isn't necessary. We are aware of the issues that our program has had over the last decade+, we can be excited about improvements. I understand people being proud of their schools. But for a school that doesn't care about us NDSU sure likes to run try to trash this program. Typically a fanbase that doesn't care about a program shows it by not even giving them attention, and not worrying about what is going on with that program. We should be happy to have two schools in the last couple of years ranked as #1 in multiple sports. FCS--NDSU and Hockey-UND. The attention that one gets seem to get the other attention as ESPN can never get the logos right, and people always confuse the two.
  15. Looking at the fumble, maybe tuck the ball and live another day. Loss of yardage with the lead is better than fumble recovery in the redzone.
  16. Voting due to the "Fighting" is dumb. Alot of University Athletics will add Fighting as a un-official name. Such as Air Force Fighting Falcons, their true nickname is the Falcons. That is also how Fighting Sioux was converted from Sioux in a couple of books that I have read on the history of UND. It's seems to be a way to add grittyness to a team to make them sound tough.
  17. I have seen people on tests just choose the first option and not care what is written. I assume it's a possibility here too.
  18. I voted Fighting Hawks, it was between that and Nodaks, I should've went for Nodak to try to give it the the majority. I think Fighting Hawks can have a sweet logo, and it atleast sounds viscous. Maybe it is just the fact that I am also a Air Force Fan and they have the Falcons (alot of their apparel says Fighting Falcons). Nodaks is pretty bland, but it allows possibly endless possibilities for a logo and also allows the interlocking ND to stay for awhile if wanted. I have a love/hate with Rough Riders, but I associate it with lower level teams such as Sioux Falls Roosevelt, and the CFL team.
  19. Like someone said they had 5 opportunities, have to get a few first downs and keep the clock running. A wildcat may be the answer since it was Studs who often converted a 3rd down by using his legs. Also we need to find a quarterback in the future that has consistency and accuracy. We currently have a a couple of backs expecially Santiago that can carry us on the ground, but no pass accuracy to back up a long situation. I do wonder what happened to Georges that he wasn't able to come out on the last drive.
  20. I thought after they blew the lead last week they surely would step up and not do it again. I was wrong. They needed to do what they did a few times earlier in the year, 6-8 minute drives to eat up the clock in the 4th.
  21. That really does need to come back. I haven't seen the intro yet this year, but I think it should be built into the intro. But my thoughts are that a intro is alot more dramatic when the atmosphere quickly changes, for example lights go off, music gets louder, and video goes on. It needs to be coordinated well to work.
  22. UND students learn the Hockey traditions by going to the games and having the same thing happen every game. After a couple of games they catch on. The first few games every year the freshman aren't involved but then they learn. Football has no traditions to start with it seems for students any more. It needs to start with gameday production. If every year the intro song and things are different its hard for students to get a tradition in for that similar to what they do with In the Air Tonight at the Ralph. They get pumped up to it because they know its time for UND HOCKEY, just like VT gets pumped to Enter Sandman.
  23. Students like the experience, if they aren't able to drink in the student section they want some way to have fun. If you look at schools with large student sections they normally have fun routines, that may look odd to some people but not to the students. There just doesn't seem to be much other than 3rd downs to get the students involved(and even that was getting tiring last year when 3rd downs were being converted against us and Montana ending). Dance cams, or some student cams or something to get them to notice something other than sit on their phones in between plays. I think some schools even enlists some students to lead chants and such in the student section(not cheer leaders who do the typical U-N-D chant on the sidelines). That said I still am disappointed in the students for not attending, especially mid day games. Late enough to sleep in and early enough that parties have not started. This is a 4-1 team that is Ranked 25/23. If the team is able to play exciting football and pull out wins at home it will bring students. All it takes is one student saying he had a blast and the game was great to be at and the word spreads like fire. Students can watch the action on TV if there isn't anything to get them involved, so there needs to give them a reason to see it in person.
  24. Someone has back to back regional this year. But I think UND wants to change things up. There were plenty of people that wanted tickets last year and couldn't get them. the Denny Stanford is a nice arena, and Sioux Falls has alot of UND fans. The place sold out multiple times for the Stampede(USHL) last year and have a little history with UND coaches and players. Also within 3 hours of Omaha and Mankato, and I believe the airport is more accessible than Fargo (flights to Minneapolis, and Denver) Edit: Cincinnati (Miami) will host two regional in a row
  25. I know in past years the entrance video was put online, is it this year?
